I don't personally care very much for the actual design, it's a super solid compact 1800 as there have been others but that antique finish is something else... Gonna have to buy one just for that. Looks amazing.

The base model seemed rather pricey for something super similar to the TX-CP (which is, what, $330 sans assembly service)?

That antique finish though! As a lightweight watch collector, I find that thing just screaming luxury. Well-done.

Is the plate top mounted?  It looks so from the sample photos.

I'd very interested if that is the case.

It is.

I'm a big fan of the antique finish.

Is it so? Because from what I see on the website:

$253 + $44 PCB + $33 non-brass plate = $330

No bag or switch, same as this one.

weight as well, $44 for brass

weirdly not included on his website

and then $30 for the bag

so $404

plus shipping

Txcp price
Case(top+bottom+ss weight) : $253
Ss or alu plate : $33
Brass plate : $55
Pcb : $66
Changing ss to brass weight : +$44
Bag : $30
All parts+mod+assembling : $130

Same brass option and bag

Txcp price is
(253+55+66)+44+30=$448

Bok.cp price is
(385)+50+30=$465

Because of top mounted plate and small quantity
Bok.cp is more expensive than tx.cp.

Bok designed tx60/65/84se with me.
I liked curve and round design, he liked straight line.
So tx60/65/84se are different from bok.cp.

He just designed bok.cp by his style.
(Tx60/65/84se are my style).

When he showed me bok.cp, I liked it.
Because of side curve.
Although factory did not like this curve of bok.cp..
Finally factory made it well.
You can see the detail in the picture.
 It was cut perfectly.

Bok.cp is different from txcp.
I think bok.cp is similar to LZ.cp.
Top mounted plate and Thin bezel

Typing feeling difference
Hardness : tx.cp > bok.cp > lz.cp

Because tx.cp is heavier than bok.cp.
Because tx.cp is sandwitch plate.
It is harder than other keyboards.
But brass plate makes the typing feeling softer.

What is the antique finish actually called? Would be interested in how durable it is in comparison to anodizing

Also, is CNC/anodizing by the same company as Kin's keyboards?

I figure you'll explain in more detail, but in case you don't:

Are the two antique finishes just different colors, or is there a texture difference?  The darker copper/bronze one looks to have some texture like pitted metal on it, whereas the more brass looking one seems to be a smooth, brushed texture.

Very nice, count me in. I love the sharp lines and the wide side cutouts.  :thumb:
Any chance for BOK polycarbonate plates similar to those for the TX-1800?

If the brass weight plate is optional, does that mean that stainless steel will be the default material for the weight plate?

Few questions

Does the plate support switch opening? seems like the sample just includes simple cut outs?

I'd be interested in learning more on the antique finish as well. Is it a surface treatment? Coating? something else?

Also, from the price break down, it seems there is no weight included?

Antique treatment process is 2 times dry plating and coated preventing fingerprint like brass weight.
Ss weight is not included in the price.
There is only brass weight.
Bok.cp will be made in same factory with txkeyboards.

Quality gets better by high quality material and better anodizing factory.

2mm acrylic diffuser will be given basically.

Merry Christmas Kin. Yes, I'll definitely do it. TX-CP is extraordinary. The quality is simply out of this world. I like this design too it reminds me of the mythical LZ CP I've seen only on pictures, unfortunately.

Kin25 already mentioned before, basically structure is difference.  Txcp is sandwitch structure and support of bokcp is aseembled on top case.

omg, two handsome keyboards... I'm drooling now. The dark grey anodisation of the TX-CP is perfect. The fact that the same factory will do BOK.CP is promising enough. I would prefer simple holes for the indicator LEDs but that's just my opinion. It's not a deal breaker. Can you give us more details about the antique option - texture, feel, colour and scratch resistance?

Bok.cp sample has NCS letters holes.
But they will be changed small holes like txcp.
You can see the holes in the rendering image
