Ortholinear 45% keyboard ISO enter IDEA
« on: Sun, 13 May 2018, 13:15:45 »
So I was just designing a keyboard and I came up with this layout,
I just wanted to see what people thought, I would probably make it open source:

Better one, made by Parva Ovis (thanks agian)

So its an ortholinear keyobard but with,
ISO enter
6U spacebar
1.5U side keys
I wanted to know if people would want this or know how to make a PCB like this,

Thanks,

The ISO enter key doesn't work with an ortho layout as it's wider at the top, not sure what you're going to use as a 2.5u backspace either.

You could use the enter key from a number pad if you wanted a tall one?  Though it would be a bit weird with cherry profile caps...

I unfortunately could not convey the space between ISO enter, but I would probably use a spacer to allow the ISO enter to fit.

Use Keyboard Layout Editor to see how the keycap sizes actually relate to one another proportionally. For example, what it would look like with your given key sizes and one I whipped up for comparison.
