The right shift is swell, but I'm ambivalent. I'd rather have the filco-style caps lock than the right shift.

Please, can we keep it? :) I didn't get sixty's set, so I had to grab an MY switch POS keyboard off Ebay, which had a short right shift key.
Cherry MX Blue: Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless. Cherry MX Black: TG3 KBA-BLTD-5RBUVS (Police Cruiser keyboard). Cherry MX Clear: KBC Poker (modded with Ergo Clears) Cherry MX Brown: Goldtouch GTC-077 USB numpad. Buckling Spring: IBM Model M 1391401 (1989-01-03 and 1991-11-21).

Yeah we should keep it. I don't want some of us to be left out.

@Minskleip

Did you mean like stepped capslock but centered ? Honestly i too like that design but, i think for the group sake, we should just stick to the unstepped centered.

If you want stepped but centered, you can try get Ripster to help you mod the stem of the original cherry key which was what i did. I'll post a pic once i get mine.

Huuh centered is filco-style right? I don't like stepped caps lock, but I'm game for whatever works for a regular keyboard, regardless of steps and whatnot.

Hey Moogle,

I'm interested in this kit, for a Ducky 1087. Have you filled up the 25 spots yet?

EDIT: I wasn't quite sure if I was supposed to PM someone, or just post it here. I'll just leave it here, that way some good samaritan can come by and tell me I'm an idiot if I'm supposed to PM it somewhere

PM 7bit_vote in his mass order thread, include your email as well
the instruction are in that post.

from the latest email I got from 7bit, there are only a total of 9 sets of MOOGLEBLACK and MOOGLEREVISEDBLACK. so we are still pretty far away from 25 :(

I'll update you into the list on the first post, but i also suggest you PM 7bit_vote as he has the more updated list.

@manfaux

Yeah but these are prices based on how many people are signed up for it. The beige/white is pretty good pricing, and the black is getting closer to the 24USD mark.

$24/10
$18/15
$15/20
$13/25

I think this is the current price based on how many orders we managed to get so far.

Quote
Moogle kit (Cherry vintage key supplement kit)
Moogle White/Beige .......... $18 / 15 (MOOGLEWHITE)
Moogle Black ................ $24 / 10 (MOOGLEBLACK)

2 x windows logo keys
1 x spacebar
1 x menu key
1 x Caps Lock (centered stemmed to be compatible with Ducky/Filco etc) UNSTEPPED
2 x blank 1.25'' keys (windows logo key alternative)
1 x Right shift (compatibility for some sets that came from 1800 series keyboards)

With my vote it should be up to 7. If this goes through I'm going to be out $70 for a full set of doubleshouts >< Are they even worth it? Hahah...oh well. I'm buying them, I hope they go through!

BTW, I don't even have a keyboard to use them on yet. I figure I'm going to get the Ducky 1087 (how do you like yours manfaux???) over the Choc Mini (my original choice).

BTW, is the Ducky 1087 plate mounted??

I like the 1087, the build quality isn't on par with my bigger Filco whatsoever but as far as typing feel is concerned there isn't a difference that I could notice. It also has some other interesting features like mixed switches and numlock which the Filco's don't have, plus it's a tad cheaper which is always good.

Yes it's plated mounted.

Well, I'd rather pay for doubleshots (improve something noticeable when you use the keyboard) than spend that extra $50 on a filco. Meh. I could wait for the Leopold, and throw the double shots on there...but I feel like I want the board NOW. Hahah :p

And I'm seriously starting to doubt if the Leopolds will ever even make it here!

...do you know if the Leopolds have the same keycaps as the Filco/Duckys?? If so, maybe I could sell my Ducky on here and keep the doubleshots.

I heard he Leopold/Archiss spacebar is unique and different from all the Filco/duckys, I have no idea what exactly is different there, though. Every other keycap should be standard ANSI cherry mx compatible.

Leopold keys match filco/ducky exception being the spacebar.

The older leopold model has led windowed keys. The newer one doesn't have that, but instead like a Filco the led is embeded into the keyboard casing top right.

I didn't opt for Leopold because i didn't want a mismatch colored spacebar, also the Ducky G2 has usb nkro and can disable windows key via FN+F9. Also the G2 Tiger edition is well built (not saying that the Leopold isn't, but the Tiger is better than the average Ducky thats for sure).

I was looking into getting the Limited Edition Tiger, but it's USD$50 more than the 1087 :/ Is it $50 better? That's the main question, I guess.

1087 is 10 keyless isn't it?

The 9008G2 has numpad included. I don't particularly find the top 4 media keys useful, but i do find the F1-F7 useful for me e.g. playing music and switching tracks.

Also it's better built :X

You need to send a pm to 7bit_vote that says "MOOGLEBLACK 1" (or whatever quantity you want). Posting here unfortunately isn't going to help much :\

okay so if i order a blackset.. does the spacebar fit the PLU?  i think the PLU87 spacebars the same as the Filcos, where the cherry switch is directly in the middle of the spacebar

Hm i'm not sure about Plu.

Private message 7bit to find out if he can provide the Plu spacebar in the same color scheme for this mooglewhite set.

He posted some spacebar specifications here

WTF was that for???

If you're referring to my comments in this thread, the complaints were valid and backed up by MANY others. You are the one trolling!

If you want to talk about trolls, what kind of Troll forms a complete Ducky vs. Filco opinion (and then gives that opinion to everyone on GH) when they don't even own either keyboard???

Plu spacebar is identical to the filco/ducky.

maybe im retarded but i'm pretty confused at what the prices are... so i want a black key kit.. which should include

2 x alt
2 x control
2 x windows logo keys
1 x spacebar
1 x menu key
1 x Caps Lock (centered stemmed to be compatible with Ducky/Filco etc) UNSTEPPED
2 x blank 1.25'' keys (windows logo key alternative)
1 x Right shift (compatibility for some sets that came from 1800 series keyboards)

$24/10
$18/15
$15/20
$13/25

what i'm confused about are those prices?  can someone explain those to me?

also any update as to when this MO is going to take place?  or is it just whenever we have a full 25 orders?

The prices are lower if more sets are produced. If 10 sets are produced price is $24, if we reach 25 sets, a set will cost only $13.

Currently the MOOGLEWHITE kit is $18 and the MOOGLEBLACK kit is at $24.

We will order by the end of this week or at the beginning of next week, depending how quick I get an answer from the manufacturer about some questions which where still open.
