BETA HYPUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! Both my accounts got it :D

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU  ;D

Both my accounts were top 5% global last season, but still no beta.

According to reddit many people who were among the top 20% didn't get in yet, so I hope I'll get access in the next couple of days  :thumb:

Thanks for the offer, but I guess this would be too much of a hassle. If I access the account from a total different IP it will get locked and then we'd have to go through all that **** with the security question etc.

Protoss seems to be unplayable in the current state of beta anyway, so I have no problem with waiting for the next wave  :thumb:

Probably due to the massive number of new accounts logging in at once.

That's probably why there are mulitple waves for the top 20% acconts.

i guess what i meant is that I watched some of nathanias trolling a zerg with the boosted tanks and it just looked painful lol. On the flip side i'll wait for one of you to post a video of you beating a pro/caster :).

You like the disruptor?

Every time I've used it in a fight it dies after exploding and if it gets a good hit I win the fight and if it didn't I loose said fight... PvT especially.... Colossus are better IMO because they don't insta die and they force out Vikings which lowers the bio count...

Who's actually playing this beta?

IMO, it's pretty terrible. I've played a bunch of games and while I can't talk to balance due to the quality of those games, Protoss just seems worse, to both play and to stratagize with. The disruptor is just bad against terran and against half good zergs its kinda useless, you can split away from it, it does nothing to air and once it pops its insta killed 300 gas gone... for maybe a few marines and a roach or two, and worse than that robo build time...
The extra bases thing also kinda ****s you because if you get behind, your behind forever and it's super duper obvious if you've got a hidden base.
The oracle is still too powerful and the new gateway unit just seems odd (though i've not really seen any decent games showing how the pro's are using it).

I've fallen off hots and sc2 alot in the last month or two.. I got back into dia last season and worked up to try and get to masters but after a few weeks of that packed in and got tired of the endless SH turtle games and having to deal with terrans. lotv was something I was hoping to get me excited and back into the game, hell when the test map came out i played that loads and loved it... but now... now it just seems bad and dumb.

There was a part in the test map balance thing where protoss would slowly work up this army that, wasn't really a deathball and required good control to get the most out off but still allowed protoss to harass; blink stalker, collosus, tempest, disruptor and the ability to transition into more archons if needed... and this would fight most things, but playing with it was so fun, blinking stalkers away from bio or super-roaches was fun, controlling and microing collosus and disruptors at the same time was also super fun and with the buff to tempest speed you had a decent seigh weapon you didnt have to baby sit... and best of all you could do what zergs have been doing since WoL and send out about 1000minerals of zelots to harass all over the map forcing your opponent to deal with them while you micro'd your heart out in the main fight.
it was awesome, and, it didn't last...

The beta ****ing sucks, the maps are trash, the players (top 20% lmao) are trash and the game its self is just a bad version of hots and hots is boring as ****.

what do you think about the siege tank style nerf to lurkers? 33% less dmg seems a bit much especially since its meant for bio.

Beta is kinda soso as a zerg ultra buff is fun, lukers are also fun but really hard to use.

I don't like the new toss things, they all feel super gimicky. I lost to the same guy that opened with a adept 4 gate + proxy oracle like five times and then I stopped doing gasless and he ragequit. Fun guy...
They seem good assuming you don't just yolo in and rely on the active not to die.
Distruptor... I don't like it, for starters, it seems way too expensive and it does a lot  fuuuuuuk ton of damage. Played against a guy who made  like 6 of them with 2 warpprisms. He'd use the ability and then pick them up abusing the warpprism pickup buff(also why is that even a thing LOL.)
Uh, stuff.

I understand the WP buff b/c Protoss has no harass units. Oracle is hard countered by static D and late game zergs and terrans usually spam out the defence so that zealot warpins do jack ****. It makes sense, but like you said the disruptor is so expensive and in lotv harassment dosnt matter so much because your income is so much higher and bases mine out so fast...

But the warpprism is already soooo strong for its cost, 250 minerals and 2 supply? All you're losing is robo production time.

Yeah but getting stuff done with it was pretty hard, you either fully yolo committed to huge warpins or it wouldn't do much other than act as a delicate proxy pylon.

Has anyone else been following the total car crash that is the development of LotV and how it's being managed?
It makes for pretty amazing reading really, Blizz doing literally nothing the game being developed behind closed doors despite a 'big open beta' and then random changes happening that only serve to make the game worse...

With every week that passes I feel more and more like an outsider looking in through a window of a house that's on fire, and no one is doing anything about it.

I mean, this is the most recent balance patch;
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/19804162/legacy-of-the-void-beta-balance-update-june-17-2015-6-18-2015

No logic, no reasoning, just here are some random changes, enjoy!

like wtf is going on lol

Have to say though, all that dumb drama, watching streams, really got me playing sc2 again, even if its just dumb archon mode.
It's actually enjoyable because I find LotV to be far too fast at the start of the game when you should be looking around chilling out and figuring out how you want to play, instead your desperately trying to figure out how to spend all your money and get stuck making poor decisions. And it's made worse because of how gas starved you are, limiting tech paths, which is how P normally makes use of extra income....

But with Archon mode I can chill while my mate drones up, play zerg or terran and just kill **** and play more laid back team games, less pressure etc
