Yeah I need to add pexon/mimic/wfd...
I need help.
professional services members have stuff all over the classifieds.
I thought that maybe I should help put them all in one place and make them easier to find.

if I have listed you on this page and you are no longer accepting orders please post here and let us know.
I know that some of you have backorders and are no longer taking new orders until the backlog is done.

Photekq has done CAD modeling before but I'm not sure if he's offering that as a full blown service.

Jdcarpe does assembly but it's the same situation as Photekq, not sure if he's doing full service or just something he does on the side.

I don't know if The_Ed offers his soldering as a service like some of the others do, but I know he's offered to do it for people in the past.

thrashwolf (http://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=27846) does illustration services.  I don't know the quality, but I know he offers them.  There are one or two other people who do the same, but I'm blanking on the names.

You also can't forget shadovved's stickers (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40240.0).

And I do wood handled wire key cap pullers in addition to the cables.

Edit:  And should we add Taobao proxying to the list?  Qtan (http://geekhack.org/index.php?board=81.0) is the only one I know who does it officially as a service.

I have changed WFD to show the following

Backlogged WhiteFireDragon - http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=37391

I had contacted him a few days ago and he had told me that he has a lot of orders he is currently fulfilling.
If anyone else would like a status indicator please let me know...

Nice list domoaligato. Thank you for creating this.

Thanks! I need to find someone to smd solder my Frosty Flake from bpiphany and I realized that a thread like this doesn't exist. that is why we have so many threads from members asking who offers services like this all the time.

hopefully this will help lower the amount of threads opened asking who does what.

Dorkvader is working on my Full Filco Controller. Again, I'm not 100% sure he's offering this publicly so it's better to ask.

Can confirm that I'm open for CAD modelling :)

This thread is a very good idea, but it would be good if you could seperate them into regions. Also, I think gupgup is AFK atm.

Nice! I will add you for CAD.
As far as regions.... some users offer services international and some do not.
I will try to split it up like that the best I can based on the threads but I might need help from the users that offer the services.

I will put afk next to gupgup for now.

Oh, you can also put me down as a UK/Europe proxy if people in the US/Asia need it in order to cut down on customs charges. I won't charge a penny. They just pay me for shipping to me + shipping to them.

I don't know if The_Ed offers his soldering as a service like some of the others do, but I know he's offered to do it for people in the past.

I have done it in the past, but I don't charge dirt cheap prices like others do. I am still willing if anybody wants.

Here is the filco I modded for Placebo Guy last year:

I can also do bolt-mods and cracked frame repair. My NIB 1390120 had the crispest actuation of any Model M at the 2nd Annual MN GH Meetup. As you can see I used a broken laptop's chicklet keys as the donor plastic to fix the cracked in half barrel frame.

I have also proxied multiple times. I ship to everywhere except North Korea.

I am currently modding my Microsoft Trackball Optical to 8200DPI, and my Dad's is after that.

If WFD is backlogged, I am the complete opposite. Nothing but my own boards on the table and wide open for business.

Recent builds - ErgoDox, LZ-GH, GON 60% (38GT PCB), GON 75% (MX Mini PCB), Phantom inside a Filco case.

Other Status

I'm not sure how you found my link, it was up for only a short time and locked ever since, never bumped once. But good job detective  ;) . Yea currently have too many concurrent GB and projects I want to finish up. I haven't been accepting a lot of request, but do still mod/build from time to time for some people.

Just indirectly throwing it out there that I'm also able to do CAD designs, 2D for plates and 3D for cases. Not really a "service" since I'm not asking money for it, but they're more geared towards larger orders instead of one-off designs. Anodizing will also come when I setup my stuff (this will actually cost something).

No idea on location

Remedyhalopc

Remedy is in the US, Oklahoma to be more specific, Jagriff is also in the US but not sure which state.

I guess I'll throw this out there.

I have a reflow/rework station and my service would be to help with large component desolder/recovery.

You can put me as DIY solder FUBAR recovery consultant.

Here's an example of a recovery.  Soldered my teensy on backwards :(

Hahaha a FUBAR consultant. That's amazing.  :p

for the OP: I am currently accepting orders, I had to stop for a few months because of the tornados that came through Oklahoma.

I can do assembling for any keyboard, as long as it doesn't take SMD soldering. Lubing if they pay for the lube, and I refuse to do stickering.

I have not seen anyone actually offering it as a service on the site.
Most people find a local guy they go to for that.
I think it would be awesome if I could just send stuff to a dedicated guy.
I would of asked for for feng's fmj case with no anodization and had someone else do it in kmac titanium.

Needless to say, the IBM Model F restoration has gone wonderfully and I wouldn't know what I would do without this site. The restoration has been very in-depth and I feel blessed having found fohat.digs to offer his services for me.

I'd like to put myself down for LED modding. I'm mainly going for the Poker II guys here, but I'll happily mod any other keyboards that support LEDs.

I'm talking designs and multi-color stuff like this (but I'll do single color for the boring people too  :p )

That happened a while back...a victim of my first desoldering project. A mistake that probably couldn't be repeated if I tried  ;) . That thread you linked shows how I recovered it.

Will update if and when this changes.

Forgot to specify it, but yeah... Amazon.com (US). The_Ed is the only US proxy listed and he hasn't been online for a while.

All admins, mods, keepers of the faith have permission to do whatever.
With this in mind I would love to eventually have this moved into a wiki structure and then this a sticky stub for the wiki page.
Then the community can add/remove/update themselves.

I have created a wiki page for Keyboard Modification Services as the first page to recreated this in a structured manageable fashion in the wiki.

Please have a look at this page and provide feedback here.

soon the wiki will have links from the main wiki to each of the subpages and that will make most of the info in the OP unneeded.

Any chance I can get my cheese thread and custom mouse pad thread added to the list?

Relevant links.

Mouse pads (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79415.0)

Cheese (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79397.0)

Also, I would like to get my own subforum.  Including those two pages along with my F restoration thread.  If this is possible, I would like a title of Melvang's Skunk Works.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

actually every thread under "CLACK FACTORY" appears locked to me

He opens them for literally SECONDS. Very hard to be able to post in them. That is how he disperses his keys. It is not just you, it is normal. His post from today only had three people make it in time.
