Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a 75% or tkl case with RGB or white underglow so maybe some sort of diffuser like on the https://kbdfans.com/collections/diy-kit/products/kbd75v2-custom-keyboard-diy-kit. It is really hard to catch the group buys before they are over but maybe I am looking in the wrong place or something. Not sure if anyone has any good reccomendations.

You really need to hang out and monitor the group buys and interest checks well ahead of time (with money in hand) if you want anything from them and then it can take months or years to reach manufacturing much less actually reaching you (if it ever reaches you). Your price is also a big limitation on a group buy custom, few if any are going to be under your budget. However, if money is that tight, I'd highly recommend NOT doing a group buy as they're always a gamble unless backed by a company.

Your best bet is Chinese customs such as KBDfans, KPrepublic, YMDK aas well as GMMK and Novelkeys, but you're still going to have to fight to stay under budget if your price includes caps and switches as well. You'd be surprised how quickly a "cheap" keyboard goes up in price (lube, switches, caps, stabs, cables, brushes, etc...), a $200 keyboard can quickly turn into $300 or even $500 or more. And while you can always get those things later, it's no fun sitting on parts you can't use and often never get used in such situations. New things come out, life gets in the way etc...
