Please please please add a R3 1.25U enter or another key for UT47.2 compatibility. I own R1 and would buy the alternative kitting in R2 for this key.

So the pink is already matched from R1, but it looks nothing like the renders from R1 or R2. How come?

So the pink is already matched from R1, but it looks nothing like the renders from R1 or R2. How come?

The renders in this post are matched directly to the real-life caps.

R1 renders were estimations on how the colors would come out because the caps did not yet exist. They were not perfectly representative of the colors, nor the real-life caps in the end because it was just an estimation. We have learned a lot from this experience and how to better succeed in renders. This was 15 months ago as well. We love how the colors came out in R1, and they were what we wanted from the beginning (besides the pink not being able to reach the full vibrancy we wanted, but we were still very happy with the set as a collective design with the pink that we used).

R2 we were able to better represent the colors in the renders because we have a real-life product to match them to. The physical samples (actual keys from 8008 R1) have been matched with a colour calibrated monitor and the renders in this post are representative of what you will get. We spent many hours tweaking these renders to be the best representation of the real-life product. Do not trust photos you see of this product. The colors of 8008 have proven to be very difficult to represent in a photo. We did the best we could to create as color correct renders as we could for this round.

You have personally proven that renders are an outdated and unreliable means to advertise on and can be skewed to be incredibly bias towards the designer, how the hell else are people supposed to expect the product they pay a few hundred dollars and wait over a year for? You get a color completely wrong on the first go and backpeddle to say that you liked it and it was as intended. Then instead of fixing and going through another phase of color matching (because god forbid people want the product that was advertised to them) you tell people NOT to trust photos of the color for this set that have been circulating for 15 months.

"just trust me"
no ****in' thanks, dude.

Would love a Rama metal enter key that has the numbers 8008 or how about some Salvun artisans with his new splatter designs with pink splatter with any color combos of the set? Still this is exciting, thanks for bringing this back as I might join this time around.

In the Norde kit there is one key missing. The backslash and bar key that is present in the additional set, is missing from Norde. Would be pretty bad for Norde users to have to buy one more kit for only one key. Can this be fixed please?

Do not trust photos you see of this product.

I'm pretty sure the universe breaks somewhere if we are insinuating that a computer generated model of something is more realistic than than the actual thing itself.

All jokes aside, that seems like a really easy way to just go "every interpretation aside buying the product itself is wrong." If the fact that it is impossible to see a photo of the true color of these keycaps, and you must need a properly color-calibrated screen in order to see the truest color of these keycaps, then how the hell am I, somebody who does not have a calibration setup, supposed to know what I am buying? I'm not trying to be a ****, I genuinely want to know how I or anybody are supposed to be able to judge these renders for what they are then?

Please consider adding Deskhero as a Canadian vendor for this set! Currently, shipping from Dixiemech is quite expensive since there's only DHL as an option and there's hefty import and courier fees on top of that.

Additionally, I hope that the blue set will not have the same issue as the pink in 8008 R1 with the off colour matching from the renders. Otherwise, this set is great and I'm still looking forward to the gb.

I know it's probably unreasonable given the concept behind the kitting, but I would like to have a kit of just blue mods (or pink mods) to easily mix the base set in order to recreate the title render.

Kitting is frustrating. Full base with numpad for $120 - $140 including support for ergo/alice ( closer to 140 price right?)  Then you can reduce the number of kits overall i.e Gmk redacted kitting please

Really prefer mod color grave (`~) when using HHKB layout or WKL layout with split backspace (cause it's more symmetric), and I also want ergo support on the base kit (yeah I wish I can have both).

As someone who does not care about nubbed homing keys, my ideal world is removing nubbed homing keys and bringing back mod color grave in package B.

I'm in the same boat (would prefer mod color grave + ergo support). +1 for removing the nubbed homing keys.

Round 2 + 8L00 looking solid

+1 for 8L00 modern/aesthetics kit

Really like the BL00 color, but the lack of HHKB/Tsangan bottom row support is a big no for me. +1 for a BL00 modern kit.

I have mixed feelings about the proposed changes. While I don't use mod-colored pipe or grave, I think it's a step in the wrong direction to take those two keys out in favor of the additions. I think they are absolutely necessary to include in the base kit. As much as would like to have Alice support, I wouldn't want to achieve that support by taking out two keys that have been included in most base kits for a while now.

Even with the proposed changes to include Alice support, I maintain that I would love to see numpad + basic iso in the base kit. In a perfect world I would have wanted to have seen a comparison of prices of the current base kit vs. a full base kit. I'm sure this is not feasible at this point but I would be really curious to see how people felt about paying a little bit more for a fleshed out kit. A full base kit would have also given people the opportunity to run the blue kit on more boards, since it seems iso and numpad are not supported in that color.

Thanks for asking the consumers what they would like to see and for considering feedback.

I'm with you. Alice support is nice, but not at the expense of Mod pipe.

Also, I was in R1 and was disappointed in the way it turned out. Ended up selling immediately. No way I would buy the pink kit if there aren't color changes coming. Now I have to decide if I'm willing to chance on blue... cause I'm a sucker for blue.

This is also my main concern. I really like the more vibrant pink. When the info says color matched R1 does that mean it changed it to look more like the render, or just matched the orginal color R1 delivered??

Additionally, I think it would be good to see numpad and/or physical iso in base with the localised legends in NordeUK kit.

Finally I think the blue kit should be more expansive, covering numpad and physical iso, as there are no child kits for it.

I agree since there is a custom blue base kit i would love to see a custom blue iso enter or atleast have the legend color blue instead of the pink.
