Ergodox issue
« on: Tue, 25 August 2015, 22:42:07 »
I've built an ergodox for about 3 months ago, and have a very strange issue with it. It works awesome for hour or two if lays down disconnected for some hours before usage. Then suddenly all the keys stops working, and won't start after reconnecting. I've checked soldering hundreds times, everything is ok with it. I've also found that it happens because of I²C hang. I tried to run I²C scanner on teensy when board is in working condition and when it's not, in first case it just do what it should, and in second sketch hangs on the first address. Somehow unsoldering (I don't have TRRS connectors) SDA and SCL from left piece, powering on and off right piece, and soldering those contacts back, temporary fixes the problem, and ergodox can work correctly for some time, usually minutes.
How can I solve this problem?
