Will it be possible to send the package as gift, with an indicated value under 100$?

Yeah, it will be. I have never paid any customs before receiving these from SK.

Okay, great. Paid. Thanks for your patience Elton.

Yeah, I received it.  They are only doing 60 sets for GH. TC has group buys in China and SK as well so they have massive orders.

I'm having a hard time deciding which type of switch I'll order, but that made me think: why doesn't the plate supports switchtop removal in the first place? Imo, that would only be reasonable for such a premium keyboard.

Some people would think that adding the notches for switch top removal decreases stability. While this may be untrue, these same people also think that stickers improve stability meaning that they will do whatever to increase feeling.
One would also think that for such a premium board you would take your time to plan what switches to put in.
It also helps to reduce costs significantly, so that's just a bonus for everyone.

On the red winkeyless board showcased: why is the space between ctrl alt gray? Is it not a part of the case?  Is it just the plate?  If it isn't a part of the case then why do you need to choose winkey or winkeyless case?  If it is a part of the case why not have it red also?

The red one has ALPS inside. So it's kind of different.

I would assume it's a prototyping thing.
I don't know if I have seen a single WKL case yet. They probably had all winkey tops ordered.

I'm pretty sure its because that is the winkey case + ALPs plate - not a likely combo in my opinion. If someone goes ALPs they would most likely get the winkeyless case and then that recess wouldn't be there. It would have the red case metal extend over where the winkey would be.

Is this because most ALPS keysets are WKL?

Not necessarily most but somewhere in the details of this group buy they mentioned this board was really only meant to support old dell and SGI keycaps and stabilizers - and those two sets of keycaps are winkeyless. Basically that would be dell at101 and silicon graphics granite at-101

It's a prototype with a cover in place of the win key.
This is what the winkeyless case looks like:

We should form a mob and persuade Duck, but I guess it's too late at this point and would increase the cost of the Aluminium bottom (though I wouldn't have a problem with that)... :'(

Would it still be possible to change the plate I ordered (asked for alu, would like a steel version)?
