Because you call them dirty old loaner caps like they are not worth owning or something. Now that you mention the spacebar, just throw all of them away already

They're super dirty though! They feel great and sound great, I just dont like the grime and shine.

I'll prolly end up cleaning these with a toothbrush or something.

Beautiful keyboard and a beautiful photo of it.  Well done!
(Normally I don't like product photography where 90% of the product is blurred out, but it works in this case).

I'm using a slide projector lens, Pentacon AV 80/2.8. The lens construction is the same as Meyer-Optik Görlitz Diaplan, aka poor man's Trioplan.

The Honeywell Fugu. A very nice surprise, in that a week ago I didn't even know I could order one.  Now, a week later and it's in hand.

Thanks a lot! I finely sanded and put some wood oil on it yesterday, the rosewood is nicely finish now! Actually when i got those typewriter Triumph Adler keycaps (it takes three sets to do that and some surgery too) , my wish was to make a make a wooden case for them. Now it's realized :D

Quite lovely!!! The wood work is exquisite, and you know what... It's that extra effort you put into the Triumph Adler keys that made me swing my vote on KotM to your keyboard. They just WORK so WELL with the rosewood case! Congratulations!  :D

My photo setup is... My camera phone, a sheet of rigid grey plastic, and taking my pictures, preferably on a cloudy day to minimize shadows, with the grey plastic sitting on top of the electrical box outside my apartment... That's it. Nothing special. Sometimes I get a decent shot, other times it comes out looking like trash.

That's my photography setup.

168794-1

I'm hoping to do some wiring in the numberpad this weekend, and who knows, maybe even cut the bottom cover plate for it. After that, I'll still need to program it with a firmware. The hard part is going to me implementing the hot swappable magnetically attached numberpad. I need to figure out how to make a keyboard firmware skip attempting I2C communication to a port expander. There is a sense wire that lets the Teensy know if the the numberpad is attached or not, but other than that... I'm not sure how to actually implement the function yet.

I think the mods look ok despite being a different teal color. Maybe the difference is more noticeable in person.
