When I had hellocodes poker, I tried lubed clears. I didn't like it nearly as much as ergo clears. However I also tried ApocalypseMaow lubed browns, I think I might light browns again
Hmm... Is it hard to clean off lube if you don't like it?
So, here we have it. My first actual mod of sorts. I recently purchased some Clears, and once I received them today, decided to drop them in my Poker with Blues. I chose to go with Clears first, to see how I like them. Then, I will try different variations of Ergo Clears with different springs. After I make my decision on which I like best, I will sticker and lube. But on to the pictures!Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/TtjwFCP.jpg)Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/LnOOmHm.jpg)
The switch removal tools? You lucky poo poo... :P
Thanks, everyone. So far, I like the Clears, but I can see what people say when they say that they almost feel linear, like the bump is hardly there, even though it's bigger then Browns. I will swap them out tonight and put the Blue springs back in.
The only thing that worries me is how tight these caps are on the stems. Last night, I put one on wrong, and had to pull it off. When doing so, the whole switch top came off! Lucky that the stem didn't break off. I managed to get the stem and housing out, but I'm worried that might happen to more, or worse.
^They are awesome. I can only imagine how much it must suck to pop them out with screwdrivers or something. Just slide 'em in, squeeze, and remove.
^Dremel mod? Also, PM incoming.
Yep, need to buy a Dremel. That'll be the next thing on my list.
New update, post 2.Nice springs and caps!! Are they 62g like mine? :)
The springs are from stock Blue switches. I will try 62g and 65g next. And yes, the caps and RGB are from Sherryton.
They're not gold. They're more silvery brassyish.
I'm waiting on two GB sets right now. One of which has shipped, the other I was would ship already.
Alright. So I haven't touched my Poker since I borked the spacebar switch. Just really haven't had the time. BUT...nice caps esoomenona!
I did finally receive the Ragnorock 10 key set that I've been searching for. And now that I have my Phantom up and running, it's time to carefully consider where to go from here. This is a picture of what I've been considering doing. The Insert key won't be Insert, but rather Delete. I think it's a good position for it. I'd like the Num Lock key to switch between Arrow mode and Numpad mode. Also, of course I won't be able to fit that big + there, so I'll probably use the red Cherry key under it for +.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/KZdmRsT.jpg)
I fear the moose is near plotting to steal my 1800's

I hav tried ghetto reds and they feel slightly stiffer than reds.
The most noticeable thing would be the sound it makes. It is ever so slightly different. Most people wouldnt notice.
I could check again whenever I get a scale. As davkol mentioned, all of that could still be explained by different batches of springs. You'd have to test something like five or ten different branded boards with reds against five or ten different branded boards with ghetto reds for me to believe it.
Im pretty sure some korean guy tested it already.
Ripster compared the switches from misterinterfaces switch tour. It can be found on reddit.
I tried ghetto reds. Alongside reds in the WASD tour. I along with the others in DT seem to find similar results. We find a difference but it is hard to describe. I thought it could have been the stem but it seems to be the springs thst make the slight difference.
dat camo
nice work brother
have you tried to get it working with the older controller back on?
