I think that's the "khaki" model. Don't know that I've ever seen one, but it's the least common of the Mini colors.

Tsangan's was unfortunately not the original case, the original is wedge-shaped.
Khaki/Military Gray, unfortunately they are the rarest and most coveted color. Ended up trading mine back for another keyboard >_>, the regrets. This is a sick collection. I'm dying to see more of the silver Mini. :)

Aww... :(
This is the 1st generation keyboard with aluminum housing of mini arrangement.
In order to give better typing feeling than 356 CL, the brass key is in the lower plate and housing has angle of inclination by itself.
Plate is not fixed in the upper housing with bolts, but fixed between upper housing and lower housing.
After that, many types of keyboard with aluminum housing came into the market.
356mini which has a nickname Sammini as bellows was produced with concept "Bring the lighter and smaller keyboard to the games room".
It is for only PS/2, but use the removable USB cable.
It can be used to plug the PS/2 conversion gender in to the end of USB cable.
The distance between the switch was reduced as much as possible beyond interference in order to reduce the keyboard size like mini arrangement.
The difficulty of assembling of 356mini is the best high level in 356 series.
The switch hole in the board is so tight, and controller of it is SMD type.
Also, copper foil on the board can be out easily if the lead is not removed carefully when you do de-soldering.
So, if you use the de-soldering machine, you can work easily more.
There is hole for line shape in the center of the board so that you have to be careful to assemble the switch into the board.
If not, tension will be disappeared by hardness key typing feeling unlike purpose of production.
Some people say that “Typing feeling is hard”, “I can’t use it with pain of hands”.
But wrong typing feeling is occurred by wrong assembling.
356mini was made of aluminum whole plates and partial plate.
The material of the board which has a hole on the center is CEM-3.
It is recommended to assemble the partial plate with black switch.
In case of apply the partial plate.
It can't fix the switch in the character string.
So, If tighten switch hole can fix tightly the switch, you can get more better typing feeling in spite of finger pain when you assemble it.
Honorably, I had a chance to test it in the filed first after assemble the final sample board and housing before 356mini came into market.

That collection is just too good. I would give up everything keyboard related I own for that Corsa. Too nice.
Apple silver and Hyper gray are used as housing colors as above photo.
The brass key has angle of inclination like as slope of the lower plate.
The brass key which has the inclination angle is mounted through the under plate.
This is assembled using the black switch which is the switch of mechanical keyboard of the Cherry Co.
360 Corsa is produces by the whole aluminum plate when it was coproduced.
But now it was used the partial plate board of poly carbonate material which was put into coproduction of 356.2 because it can be replaced to plate board of 356.2.
We recommend a combination with the pure black switch for partial plate because a board material of 360 Corsa is soft material unlike the existing custom keyboard.
If the spring is lubricated by the LSD oil or the Anti-shock which is called as the red medicine, you can hearing a distinctive sound like spring bounce.

No. i'm just general member.
356.2 is a custom keyboard which was coproduced by Sir, Eungsam in otd.kr for outstanding members who have an attack power more than 2000 as the 2nd version of 356.2.
CEM-3 material was used for the board unlike the existing 356CL, and partial plate of polycarbonate was used as plate.
So, it depends on setting, but the keyboard give different typing feeling when this is assembled.
This keyboard has feeling of cushion by combination of CEM-3 board and partial polyester plate.
So, it relieves fatigue in the finger when you do paper work or play the game for a long time.
It is recommended that you assemble a pure black switch or 62g white switch.
It can be comfortable with 360 Corsa for board and plate.
If you insert the partial plate of 356.2 in to the 360 Corsa, it gives a absolutely different typing feeling.
So, you can see a lot of people nowadays who want to buy the 356.2 which were produced about 60pcs, but it is not easy to buy it.

360Corsa hyper-gray color is a custom keyboard which was coproduced by Sir, Eungsam with Apple-silver color in otd.kr.
If you remove the brass key on the lower housing as shown in the above picture,
unique echo of the click switch flows out so that you can hear the lighter click sound than keyboard the lower housing is covered.
The click switch can't slider lubrication or spring lubrication separately.
When you disassemble or assemble the switch,
click sound may be die compared to the switch before open it because unique character of the click switch can be changed in case of lubrication for slider or spring.
It didn't lubricate the stabilizer separately.
A harmony of whole plate which was coproduced,
click switch with green switch and housing with grapping hole make a desire to type continuously.
Wow amazing collection. Do you have any pictures of the 356N or 356L?
I'm actually really curious as to how it sounds without the brass weight, that's really interesting. :thumb:360c with OG cherry set + green switches. Not much of a difference in sound, but in feel.

Hi, buddy! How do you do?
Your data is so great.
356CLS is a custom keyboard which is made in otd.kr by Sir, Eungsam for a gift. That is one rare gem.
356CLS is the most excellent product so called the final round boss of the 356 series.
The housing is made of carbon steel, and the material of the plate is suspension plate, the weight of the keyboard is about 7kg (6.7kg). Although existing 356 series were anodized to prevent oxidation prevention, but the CLS was power coated in a special order of paint.
The color of the paint in a special order of paint is profound and mysterious color like as tanned plastic.
This is assembled using the best switch and key cap in which I have like the final round boss.
It will be light typing feeling as 62g if you use the pure black switch caused by weight and rigidity of the housing.
So, if you assemble it using the gold spring which is coproduced by Sir, Eungsam, you can get better typing feeling.

356CLS is a custom keyboard which is made in otd.kr by Sir, Eungsam for a gift.Ok, this is one hot keyboard, never been a fan of the bigger boards but this one is just sick. I wonder why not more boards use powder coating, the colour has way more depth and you have more options. I wish more boards were like this one.

As i know , Sir Eungsam make DGE because the original 356cl have some problem when producing for round 2. So he anodize again on it and make it flat ( not brass bar ). BTW , in my opinion, this DGE have an extremely beautiful color , but just annoy because of anodize line and the color variation between top and bottom part sometimes too much and quite easy to see ( different DGE have the different color variation ) . However i always wish i have one but can not afford the price :sosad:

It's very hard haha. Some require Korean and have knowledge about custom keyboardPlease stop this thread. Where can I learn korean? From vesperSAINT?

What are your opinions on 356cl aluminum plate vs 356.2 polycarb plate? Which do you think is superior?

Does that mean that there are more 356cl than 356.2?
I think that's right. However, the anodizing of 356cl is better than 356.2 so that people want the 356cl more. I also believe that 356cl still one of the most rare board in the world , more rare than 356.2So, you can see a lot of people nowadays who want to buy the 356.2 which were produced about 60pcs, but it is not easy to buy it.

This is the first 356 series which is coproduced by Sir, Eungsam in kbdmania.net.
This is only 356 series appearing 00/60 as serial no on the back side.
60 pcs had been produced but 1pcs had been lost by shipping incident. So, there exist only 59pcs of keyboard which has serial no.
There are 5pcs of sampling keyboard except 60pcs, but notice of 'engineering sample' is written on them instead of serial no.
356L is the optimized custom keyboard for the black switch switch of Cheery Co. such as name of it (L= Linear).
So, the specific stiffness feeling different from the other 356 series which are produced after that.
The plate is made of aluminum whole plate.
This use the COMBO 3000 Controller to assemble it directly after decompose the 1pcs of DAS Keyboard.
So, only this among the 356 series can be used as USB as well.
People who prefer to the black switch want to have the 356L,
but it is not easy to find a seller because the 356L is coproduced product at first.
Personally, I think that most similar factor as the CLS when I use the black switch is a typing feeling.

Would you agree that the poly plate makes it easier on the switches hitting them?
Also, have you tried Gateron Black or Yellow?

Gateron switches do not fit well in OTD PCBs. Gateron linears are smoother new but if you take the time to lube vintage blacks than they are smoother.

It's so secret and exclusive, the keyboard designer never shared it with anyone.

I thought you guys were just making jokes.
Is there really going to be a new OTD GB finally?

Gundam said in September they’d be a new board, but nothing came from it. Post is somewhere in this thread :))
hey i'd like one otd pleaseHey me too.
More "lively" and interesting than something rock-solid like brass or steel. More ergonomic IMO, less harsh on your fingers if you use lighter springs. I think my personal favorite part is feeling a keypress on an alpha on one end on the keycap of an alpha on the other end (rest your finger on the D key, press the K key and see how much you can feel the keypress vibrations from the D key). Half-plate is more bouncy than even a full plate with a more flexible material like polycarbonate.
Keyboards are far more interesting to me when they're less rigid.

I realise this is old but Vegs necro'd so I thought I'd add my tuppence.
The Cheat I bought has an alu half plate and I absolutely love how it feels, it's just a shame I still haven't managed to flash the PCB so I can't actually use it. :-[ It's definitely waaaay flexier than both of the poly plated boards I have. Seems like the OTD PCB is particularly thin as well which I guess is a significant factor.
One day I'll get this thing up and running properly. It really is super nice feeling.

356 series plates should be the same thickness as lal cherry plates, 1.5mm. I think the flexy feeling comes from the shape of the plate.

If you have an Atmel ISP you should be able to flash it I think. I used an Atmel ICE 2 for my mini, but there are lots of alternative models.
It's my impression that a bunch of the later OTD boards have very similar firmware, but I'm not sure about the Cheat. Might be the case, if you need hexes. The 456GT, DGE, Corsa, and maybe some of the others all share firmware I believe and I wouldn't be surprised if the Cheat was also compatible, but idk what controller it uses.
Cheat uses some wacky version of AIKON. I remember yuktsi being fairly well versed in it, throw him a message.
