Replacement cover for CM Storm Trigger
« on: Wed, 08 May 2013, 00:04:33 »
Would it be possible to find a replacement case (or at least the top cover) for the CM Storm Trigger keyboard separately?  I have seen a thread with someone buying QFR (I think) covers for painting, so I guess it's possible for those, but I'm looking specifically for the Storm Trigger one.

Thanks!

No, and I don't imagine there ever will be. You could try painting it following one of the many guides that can be found.

Thank you.  I don't need a guide for painting, as I'm used to painting various stuff, but I wanted to retain the stock look if needed in the future, since painting is rather permanent! And the gray/silver covers are getting discontinued, apparently.

I contacted CM customer service, and was told the same thing.  Nope, no replacement covers will be sold for the CM Storm Trigger.  Even though they do sell replacement covers for the QFR.

Needless to say, I'm no longer planning to purchase the CM Storm QuickFire XT.  As the owner of a CM Trigger, I was pretty brassed off at the response.

I wonder how Plasti-dip would react with the rubbery silver coating on Storm Triggers--if it could be peeled off at a later date.
