Terminal keyboard from "Revenge of the nerds"

Well... Anyone seen that movie? There are that scene when Gilbers hacks his way into Judy life (and pants, probably).

Anyone knows what terminals they hav in the lab? And, especially, what keyboards? It had such a nice sound...

I haven't seen that movie since it was in theaters (dating myself), but you can't assume the keyboard pictured in the movie is the one that made the sounds. Virtually all sounds in movies are created via Foley effects in post-production.

Well... If that movie was in theaters when I discovered it, I'd watched it by myself too - because at that time I was as nerdy as it's heroes and was dating myself too :)

That one is quite different. Different case, different stepping on Caps Lock, space between numeric row and F-row, and different legend on the Enter key.

I wonder if those internal stabilizer rings added to the friction more than the smooth gliddedness of the travel.. hrrrmm.

Serious necroposting, but ... I happened to stumble upon the anser by having saved a screenshot from the movie and of the keyboard into the same directory, browsing randomly and getting a "Whoa" moment.
I figured that I had the screenshot because someone had asked about the keyboard.


The keyboard is from an Otrona Attache "luggable" computer.
The orange hook on the back of the keyboard is for attaching to the computer's front, and hinges to close it.
The switches are Fujitsu Leaf Spring gen 1.
