Build your own case!
« on: Thu, 16 June 2016, 14:01:35 »
Hello. So I built my own poker/universal mount hhkb case and just wanted to share it with you because I'm really excited about it. Here it is finished:

I guess here is a bit of a rough diy guide.
So think about what you know will look cool!

Starting with a plastic generic Aliexpress case I drilled holes and zip-tied some piece of Aluminium flat to it for more angle.
(don't worry I cleaned off that glue)

With an A3 sized sheet of 3mm acrylic I did some measuring and cutting.

Glue the pieces on! Woohoo!
(all the yellow that you see is the color of the glue I used)

Find some things lying around and glue them in for weight. Cool!!. Oh yeah at some point I measured and cut the rear piece and hhkb blockers. Must have forgotten to take pics. Soz! Lol

Measure and cut out a hole for usb. I first drilled a hole then took my time with a square file.

Bog it up. Haha messy.

Sand/file. This process took the longest. Keep it square and clean! I didn't want rounded edges.

Undercoat really helps to hide imperfections!

Gon waiting, just a little while longer m8! Oh btw thanks Leandren! This was from R4

Paint dry.

A few minor imperfections. Actually the most obvious ones are just in the paint and I'll be going back to fix them soom when I get time.

Gotta love that scrap metal ballast.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

The difference between a hack and an artist is that the artist knows how to hide their mistakes.  :))
