I think the shipping costs are fine. People for some reason really don't understand just how expensive international postage can be.

I'd think the same if I only had to pay shipping to the US or UK  :-*

I have not expected shipping to germany to be that expensive! I might think about having it shipped to family in china instead. But waiting another six months to save 80$? No chance.  :p

Would it be cheaper to send all german packages to one guy for him to distribute them further?

Probably, according to this list I found for ems pricing from Vietnam:

it probably would be $170-180 so $45 per person. Adding 5€ for DHL Paket National we'd still be way below $80-90...

The real pain would be customs though.

Looks like to be a good idea to ship the 4 german packages to one guy. 79$ to Germany is insane and for me its even 89$ since I ordered a second a plate.  :(
All four german packages together have a weight of 8,3 kg and we have to pay 340$ shipping. I guess everyone would save at least 30-40$ shipping if we distribute the orders locally.

Since there are no import fees for keyboards, we only have to pay 19% VAT. So the one picking up the 4 boards at customs had to pay about 400$ VAT.

Is it really that easy to get stuff that is worth that much through customs?

jhoang, i am wondering if you will fulfill your E8-V1 orders before you collect money from people on this group buy. i understand there may be some issues...

Yea. I will update on current status of E8-V1 in E8 thread. But it's all about the plates issue. I fixed the plates and shipped to China for anodizing. But shipping service is being delayed due to some problems with logistics.  :(

still have not seen and update from jhoang in the E8 thread.

The saturation seems a little heavy in those pictures. Would you say in a darker setting it might look more like this?

$66 if your order stays below 2kg (brass weight but no brass middle piece for example) $75 if it goes above that but under 2.5kg. Looking at the other two users from Denmark that are in the sheet already.

Just to note 67$ goes for brass weight and middle aswell, so to get above the 67$ mark you'd need to order additional items for the kit.

would be interested as well. We should try to contact DreamFiction_ on reddit and see if he also agrees. Wouldn't make that much of a difference if we only do it for 2 or 3 people I guess. I will pm you so we don't have to spam this thread.

I believe he's waiting to get the E8-V1 orders further along to avoid drama. I'm not sure what you are worried about though. Worst case it's just a delay.

I am concerned about the lack of proper communication at such an early stage, even @exclusive - the manufacturer of these keyboards, is in the indeterminate state

EVERYONE, most likely he is suspending the invoice date till the E8 is dealt with. Just ignore the projected timeline for the E6 and stop spamming the thread.

For shipping price,

I had a mistake on calculating E8 shipping fee. (http://i.imgur.com/A5EJF9E.png)
I did not count extra fees...
I would have to pay for my mistake.

Shipping fees from Vietnam is really expensive.

For Europe people, the fee is higher than US and UK really much.

For shipping price,

I had a mistake on calculating E8 shipping fee. (http://i.imgur.com/A5EJF9E.png)
I did not count extra fees...
I would have to pay for my mistake.

Shipping fees from Vietnam is really expensive.

For Europe people, the fee is higher than US and UK really much.

thank you for the update.

I PM'd you about grouping two orders together shipping to Canada. Hopefully you see that for invoicing :)

EVERYONE, most likely he is suspending the invoice date till the E8 is dealt with. Just ignore the projected timeline for the E6 and stop spamming the thread.

I read your update in the E8 thread. If you haven't already, please update my shipping price to reflect the actual price. I don't want you paying for what I ordered.

If this is about grouping orders, can I get in on this, too? :P

We live across the country from ya :( Doing same-city grouping here.

Would like to add to take your time with getting this sorted. I understand you have a lot happening with the e8. I would hate for you to run into a miscalculation down the line here, and get screwed for money again. I do not mind waiting another few weeks - this is just me, but maybe some share the same sentiment. I would be happy to see things wrap up with the e8 before diving into the e6 and taking payments. I just want things to run smoothly and without any hiccups for you and for us! Either way, looking forward to this kit.
