Title: Would a TKL keyboard fit in a full sized case?
Post by: andCoffee on Fri, 17 April 2015, 20:08:44: I'm interested in a project that would involve putting a small Raspberry Pi screen where the number pad would be on a full-sized keyboard, and I was wondering if anyone knows if the TKL internals would be able to just drop into a full-sized case (thus leaving an open area on the far right for some electronics)?

Post by: FrostyToast on Mon, 20 April 2015, 17:21:06: It's entirely possible. However for a board to have a custom lcd panel for it to interact with, you would likely have to make it entirely custom. I don't know if any PCB out there would support that kind of display.
With anything entirely custom it would of course fit in any case you wanted assuming the controllers have enough space as well.

Hook the TKL keyboard internals directly to the Raspberry Pi, then have the screen boot directly into FocusWriter. If I was able to power it with a usb battery pack, i think it could be a fun project... though I'm just casually researching at the moment. I haven't taken any serious steps toward starting the build yet.
