Which keyboard for work?
« on: Wed, 01 June 2011, 07:27:09 »
Hi,
i search a keyboard for work, so it should have MX Brownies. I would prefer a german layout, but it can have an other layout who is useable for programming tasks.

Thanks for ure help!

I bring my Filco brown to work and leave my old Compaq MX 11800 (also brown switches) at home.

Office colleagues often wonder why I use that black keyboard that looks similar to very normal $5 Mitsumi ones.

Btw, I use Colemak layout instead of Qwerty, so no one like to use my keyboard

Are their cheaper alternatives? I doesn't want to leave ~130€ at work. German Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless - £108.00 - The Keyboard Company

Just fund them too. 63€ by keybo.de, this more acceptable to leave at my workplace.

But i heard that their sometimes have clears and not brownies. How much their are other than the brown switches? (I got a Razer with blue switches at home, so the brownies and the clear ones are both new to me.)

According to http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Dating+Cherry+keyboards there are no G80-3000 with brown switches in the Europe... Only blue, clear or black

You'll find much cheaper G80s on german Amazon - I got mine BlackMX for ~45€.
LPCDE - BlackMX
LSCCE - BlueMX
LQCDE - ClearMX
are the things you can go for.

Have you tried browns or clears before?
