Have you been introduced to the Haworth Fern?
The Fern
does look very nice, but it still looks a little too much like a "traditional" office chair and since my desk setup is in my living room, I can't pry myself away from the tall director's chair I'm currently using... definitely form over function right now, but it just works aesthetically with the rest of my room decor.
I have the Very Desk. I love it, though I wish I got the head rest too for when I'm feeling lazy.
I'd love to switch up chairs to something like a Hayworth, but the price is killing me at over $1200+ for a chair that doesn't currently vibe with my home office. Admittedly, my current office chair sucks for posture, especially when I can be in the chair for 8-10hrs (as I work from home as a freelance graphic designer), but it fits my needs perfectly right now and I'm knowingly choosing it for its looks.
Eventually, I will be updating my desk with just higher quality versions of the pieces I'm using now. But I know I will have to pick up a second chair at some point since I'm building a second setup to compliment my other desk in the same room. One desk is for all design work and the other is being built up into a more rugged "builder's desk" for work tools, soldering, and anything else I need to build. I lucked out with living in a space where I can accommodate 2 8ft desks
