In stock aluminum TKL cases
« on: Tue, 22 August 2017, 16:12:47 »
Are there any good aluminum TKL cases that aren't custom order?  Something that is normally in stock somewhere?
Our local hackerspace is making a keyboard PCB for a group build and I figure we should make them fit some commonly available case.

I've seen some on aliexpress but don't know what the fit and finish is like on those.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

 -M

The TKL cases in stock at MK are really nice, but currently only available in stock in Green, Blue, and Red.

I ordered a VA87M case from aliexpress, mostly because I wasn't going to use the two LED holes.  But I might just add those two indicators and make it Filco compatible as those seems to be easier to get cases.

Not as many TKL cases out there as I had hoped.

I have one of these on my KBP V80 with Matias Click switches and it is very well made. Only thing that sucks is it doesn't tell you when a color is sold out (initially wanted gray, but the seller told me after placing the order it wasn't in stock). It was at my door in a few weeks, had no blemishes and fit perfectly. Probably going to buy another for my other V80. Would recommend.
