Hello!
« on: Wed, 11 April 2018, 09:10:50 »
Great site! Lots of information thought I would share my experience.

Bought my first mech about a year and a half ago. It was the cooler master with white LED and red cherry switch. About 8 months after I went ahead and bought my 2nd board which is the Leopold FC750 with a blue switch. It was a HUGE jump in quality for me in terms of construction and the overall feel of the board. Sold the cooler master soon after.

Fast forward to today the bug caught me yet again. Bought my first topre board and have been using it for 6 hours straight. They are excellent love the way the switches feel and sound! Cherry in comparison feels scratchy and hollow. Plus they aren't as obnoxious to use in the office as blue switches. It's by far my favorite switch I've tested to date. Some people hate it but we are allowed to have different opinions right :D

Still very new to this so I look forward to learning more and hopefully contribute to this community.

Cheers!

Cooler Master at least isn't a bad brand to start with. They have pretty good quality for a mass produced product and they use a standard layout.

My first board was a coolermaster as well. They have some good starter boards that you can chuck some aftermarket caps on. Welcome to the rabbit hole, enjoy your stay  :D

Cooler master is good brand I recommended their boards to several of my friends. It has a very clean profile which is a big reason why I bought them. Compared to other commercial gamer mechs, I feel they are a notch above in terms of build quality and design. Don't get me wrong I like my cooler master but I was just surprised at how well constructed the Leopold boards. Then again they are more expensive :)

One of my favorite mass production boards was the Coolermaster QuickFire XT back when they were still being produced. It was one of the only boards readily available (at the time) with Cherry MX Green and none of the clones had made a green switch yet.
