Hey everyone, thanks for taking some time out of your day to look at my keyset; GMK Kouhai is a keycap set formerly known as mashu.

Regarding the recent concerns of IP from GMK, it would be the best move to cut the novelties out and play it safe. (Senpai novelty has been moved to the base kit).

Regarding the deskmat samples, the photos were taken when it was eyeball blasting sun+snow lighting, the colors are more saturated than depicted in the photos.

I like the 2,75+2,25+1,25 split but I have a heck of a time seeing the difference between a 1,25 and a 1,5 in a render.

Fantastic looking set.

I feel I am posting a similar thing on a lot of IC recently.

But please consider 2 base kits, having to purchase the Katakanas separately gets really expensive and also feels wasteful to leave all the regular Alphas in the box.

I feel that due to the origin of the set, that the amount of people prefering Katakanas would be very substantial.

Looking forward to seeing the Rama, it has huge potential to be so pretty.

Currently I don't have any more plans to go for another deskmat design. I think these current deskmats fit very well into the theme of the keyset, but I agree with you it doesnt fit in with the colors.

With the current circumstances, it's totally understandable.
I still feel that over 50% of the novelties could have been run without issues, and adding a few others to complete the kit.

But if that is what it takes to run this set, I understand and I am still happy to be able to purchase it in this form.

I appreciate the "Senpai" key moved to the base kit.
It would be really awesome if 1 Enter Novelty could be moved (or I guess made, since the shield will not pass) into the base kit (like Inukuma has a novelty enter and a regular).
Or maybe a Rama Enter key? (Senpai, Castle, Abstract shield etc) That could be so pretty.

I forgot what the old mat looked like, can we have a post that shows the before and after so people can remember in case it's something deal breaking? I only now realized this was GMK Mashu after clicking on the Mashu flair and being redirected to Kouhai, and I'm still very interested, but it'd help me with my **** memory, lol.

ps: Why did the Mat have to go? GMK isn't involved with making the mats as far as I know.

I was advised by vendors to also not risk it regarding the mats as well. I am also sad that the "weebs in" deskmat is no longer available so I am working on designing a new mat to replace it. Please stay tuned for it.

I forgot what the old mat looked like, can we have a post that shows the before and after so people can remember in case it's something deal breaking? I only now realized this was GMK Mashu after clicking on the Mashu flair and being redirected to Kouhai, and I'm still very interested, but it'd help me with my **** memory, lol.

Theres a example of the weebs in mat can be seen in the discord, its literally just the same mat but with commissioned mashu art on it
