Trying my hand at custom keycaps
« on: Tue, 24 December 2013, 15:32:15 »
Well, I decided that I wanted to try making my own keycaps... So I took the escape key off my keyboard and a little piece of sculpey, and here's my progress for the first few minutes of my career. :D
Tools of the trade: a flat screwdriver, an x-acto knife, and the back of a paint brush.

I suppose it could be a few different animals depending on the color of the key... :p
It's still fairly rough, but I'm working on it. It's hard to get precise at such a small scale.

Very cool! You should try making some on SP or Cherry profile so they arent as high.

Do you plan on making a mold and casting it? That would look pretty neat!
