Thought about this type of events alot.

Overtime, humanity builds karma. We heavily damaged the environment, we engaged in the Animal-Holocaust. The price paid for it accrue generations in the future, which is now our present.

So, many of us pay or will pay for the sins-of-our-fathers.

There may be physical distance, a pane of time, or a gap of air, but we are the same animal across the history. It makes sense that our transgressions against the natural universe coalesce.

Putting down the knife, is only the first step in atonement, and most humans don't even get that far.

The universe might not look too closely at individuals, a jesus carry of the totality of sins of mankind was merely fiction told by the church to sell-absolution.

The collector is here, our bill, 1 civilization.
