I just noticed you trying to sell this:
G80-8200HUAUS MX Brown $90 or offer
You got this from me as payment for proxying my stuff, and after nearly 1 year I still don’t have many parts. I had to spend months begging, cajoling, and contacting other admins and mods to get you to meet your promise from last August. What’s so hard for you to desolder a single sided Cherry PCB? You’ve boasted to me several times that you can desolder a board in the time it takes to watch an anime episode. Even that that’s how you time your projects.
And what about the money you owe me? I have been pestering you since the start of the year and you have been ignoring all PMs except those dealing on philosophy and your pet topics. Now my patience is exhausted so I’m posting here. Are you going to keep avoiding me still?
And you couldn’t be bothered to account for the other $400 donated to your Hall Effect? I originally handed over $200 on condition that you treat the whole thing like a serious project with full accountability. We had plenty of discussion on that so you can’t claim I was throwing money into the ether unconditionally. I made it clear that my intentions were altruistic and intended to help develop keyboard knowledge (Hall Effect technology) as well as your ability to manage projects. You agreed and praised my kindness. But you never accounted for anything. Couldn’t even write up a few paragraphs describing your Hall Effect work after a year.
Then I found it so hard to get back the proxied stuff and other money you owe me, so I said fine, I up my donation to $400 and you give me the $800 balance and properly work on the Hall Effect. But you only gave back $250 so that leaves $550, and neither have you ever done anything on the Hall Effect anyway. As far as I am concerned you have money from me under false pretences, so you owe me:
1) A monster pile of brown Cherry MX switches from G80 keyboards
2) $550
3) An additional $400 of conditionally donated funds that you never met the conditions for, and therefore do not deserve to keep.
I can forget about item 1 because I have purchased switches separately at higher expense. I made a big mistake trusting you; that’s to my cost.
I won’t forget about item 2. $550. When are you paying me back?
Item 3, it irritates me every time I see you post about some other pet project of yours. I want that money back. I’ve already warned XMIT never to trust you when working on projects, and will keep warning others who want to work with you, unless you pay that $400 back. From my experience over the past 2 years, you can’t be trusted to account for funds, because you like to have your fingers in 30 projects without any plan to complete 28 of them in reasonable time.
You and I have had many philosophical conversations literally totaling over 100,000 over the past few years and you know full well I’m the ‘actions speak louder than words’ type of guy. Make good on what you owe me, or I’ll make sure everyone gets to hear about you. I have been very patient and not publicly posted on Geekhack and Deskauthority. Even waited past August 1 (original deadline June 22) so that you had time to draw your paycheck and send me the money.
I gave you 2 monthly pay periods past June 22 to repay me, because I know very well that you are a terrible money manager. If you have any gratitude you may recall that I first started passing you money (always conditionally, never unconditionally!) in 2H 2013 because you’d screwed up your finances again and was short of cash. I passed you more money conditionally (and plenty of advice and mentoring) when you were jobless and worrying about finances in 2Q, 3Q 2014. Now that you have a steady job, a steady keyboard servicing sideline with more work than you can handle, and am living rent free, I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
My patience is at an end. I suggest you stay away from all Asia-Pacific keyboard events. If I see you, I will confront you in public.
