Very excited for this one, really like the design.
It looks like the form responses are public, can that be changed so that people can't see other people's addresses? (I have temporarily edited out my contact info from my response)

Same deal. Blanked my details until that form is secured.

Can we get measurements on the pad please?I recall from the IC that it's basically the same as a Cherry G80-3700
Is there a max quantity/order limit on this GB?
Edit: Nevermind just saw the Google Doc says limit of 40
does this come with a cord?

Once you fill in the form you can look at the previous responses to see who's done what.
Full name, physical address, phone number and email.
I placed an order because it's limited, but the LED sticker thing with the three less keys, not a fan of it. I would like the other option. Will that be confirmed with the invoice?
edit: just say "4, LED sticker: two ways for assembling" does that mean the sticker thing is an extra piece?

I would also like to know the answer to this. Can you help clarify, shower_king?

I saw ISO is supported but haven’t seen a pic that has the split left shift, is that supported?
I don't know, but since it's just PCB mount 99% assuming it will
Where is this spreadsheet of all orders that you guys are talking about? If you dont mind linking it. All I see is the order form, not the order spreadsheet.Earlier, the Google Form had the analytics feature enabled, which gave responders to the form a link to "See previous responses" and provided a view into people's individual responses that included personal identifiable information. Now, that feature is disabled, so you filled the form after the change.
long time no see.. your sig is insane. time to sell some goodies.
Are there any pictures of how the pcb sits? I'm assuming since its is PCB mount that means no plate at all for this build and I will need PCB mounted switches of which I have none lol.https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=96153.msg2624897#msg2624897

I will have a extra polycarb TKL plate by the time this arrives, hoping that will will work with this work of art.

It will not, putting aside that you'd have to cut off the mounting points of the plate, the spacing on the F row and navcluster is different from what other TKLs use.
I also edited my response due to the public nature of the form. Please fix.Bootmapper
What's the programmability of the PCB? QMK would be ideal. I'll even settle for Bootmapper.

1.
The designer will offer a cord for 80% JER and a cord for 20% respectively FOR FREE.
I will note that for you who have ordered cords before as free.
If you want extra cord, PM me to confirm that.
2.
Currently ,there are only 3 slots left now. The GB will come to an end when reaching 40 sets 80% JER.
The pad is not limited
3.
I will sent paypal invoice soon. thank you for all your attention.

Thanks! But would like to be 100% sure it does, not a cheap board...
Can OP confirm?
wish this had a plate instead of only pcb mount
wish this had a plate instead of only pcb mountYeah I as well but as least this will force me to get into switch modding to change the housing of the switch I want to use. :thumb:
I'm more than certain I submitted the form quite early. It'd be great to hear an update from shower_king to see who made the cut. I wonder if there's a possibility that editing my response may have simply voided it.

It looked like I dropped a few positions when I edited my response, at least when the analytics were still visible.
I also have not received an invoice yet, hopefully/probably they just haven't all been sent out yet.
FWIW I was the first or second person to fill out the form but made some edits after discussion with shower_king that he confirmed.
If we haven't received an invoice at this point is it safe to assume we didn't make it? :(
Did the people who haven't been invoiced order only the 80%? I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I was invoiced for the 80% and the 20%. Hopefully shower_king will be awake in a few hours and can respond to everyone's questions (it should be around 05:10 in the morning in China right now).I got invoiced and I only ordered the 80%

Hey shower i sent you PM regarding a Extra PCB for the 80%. the invoice only had the extra cable. Also will there be a form which shows what our orders are?
I think i resubmitted my google form to make small change in my initial form, do i jump to last place by doing so?, because i just did in the SKB GB.
Will it be safe to use plate mount switches on this? im thinking it might easily break the solder points.
also what are the disadvantages of it?
im planning to use my pandas on this.

I am curious to find out which switches people are considering for a PCB-mounted keyboard. Not sure, either i will need to mod switches so that way i can use them or go with some of zeals switches since they are all PC mount.
Especially from people lucky enough to try such a keyboard beforehand.
Im looking to mount some nice ergo clears and and my own creation, HYPER browns (basically 62g lubed mx brown in retooled blue housings).

Just a friendly reminder to please post the breakdown of who/what was ordered? I think that all the participants in this buy would appreciate the information. If anything, please post a list of usernames with the payment status of their order? In group buys like this it gives people a bit of peace of mind when their payments have been acknowledged (especially when there is so little communication from the GB runner).
Thanks!

I guess curved cord means coiled.
Would you consider offering the straight quick-connect cord for an extra fee? The one pictured in the first image you posted.
And thank you for running this group buy.

CNC for JERShow Image(https://s1.ax1x.com/2018/08/01/PwtIl6.jpg)
PCB under measurement
1. CNC for JER 80 and 20 is almost all done now. The next step is anodizing housings after all CNC has been done as scheduled.
2. The PCB is fixed on samples for further measurement. This will be done in about one week or so.
3. I will update participant list here excluding private information. May be I omit some changes you have PMed me before, please email me using: shower1983@gmail.com
4. About colors, currently, there are four colors including :NCR(Top:dark gray, Bottom: light gray), white(Micro arc oxidation),Black, Dark gray. I will update later after EVE sendind me sample colors. If you want to change colors or I have mistaken your order's color, please send me email as well to correct that at : shower1983@gmail.com
Thank you for all your support and feedback.
BTW, update a new custom keyboard set from JER designer.Show Image(https://s1.ax1x.com/2018/08/01/PwNODU.jpg)
I must say I'm surprised there weren't more black anodizing orders. I would have gone that route normally, but I'm curious what the white microarc oxidation looks and feels like in person.

Yeah, You have a penetrating sight. Actually, I have received more than 40 orders and sent 40 invoices chronologically. Unfortunately, some give up their slot and I cancel their orders and leave the slots to late-comers. The late-comers won't pay in time. Thus the designer cancels the orders which exceed payment deadline.

I've PMd shower a couple times and nothing. Has anybody heard from him lately? I'd love to know whether I paid money and didn't even get a slot.

ive tried reaching out to shower king for the past few weeks withouth reply too. All i know is EVE have started anodizing some of the cases.
Shipping was originally slated for late November. Not that I know. Maybe dantambok is trying to change addresses.
Did anything change?

Just wanted to ask how much he usually declares for customs/taxes since PH laws just tax items above a certain amount. Also, stupid question, what we paid for doesnt include shipping yet right?
Well, assuming everything on/in this buy is on the up and up, it looks like CNC for the cases finished on August 20th (according to http://www.geekmaker.com/index/Goods/goodsInfo/id/260/item_id/1110.html under the google translated "latest dynamic").
Ive been talking to shower king and the JER designer through QQ. I had the opportunity to see some of the finished ano boards. Shower king will start replaying to people soon, he said he's very busy.

Thanks! I am still confused as to why the person responsible for leading the buy cannot take a few minutes to spare just a few words for a status update... but anyhow
Does this include a keyboard and a numpad for me? I'm still not on the list O_O
I think he's very responsive over at QQ maybe you should try reaching him there?
I am not on his list either but was assured it was no issue. this was some time ago.
Just to give you guys an update. Loads of finished boards have arrived at EVE's apartment.
Expect shipping soonTM, whenever the pcbs are ready.

What switches are you guys going for?I have some Halo Clears coming in and i was thinking of making some halo sky switches. just need to desolder them from my Viper and the disassemble, lube, and then assemble. Very taxing but worth it. Wish i had more Panda's to make Holy pandas.

Honestly, it would be really nice if we could get some build log pics of someone who has successfully built this board and could document the work as a means of providing instructions to all of us.This would be great :thumb:

Here is the USB connection on the PCB.Thanks for the info i just need to get a multimeter now.
The labels say G D+ D- V
(Attachment Link)
The idea is to cut the RJ connection off the end of the cable and solder the wires to those points.
Tie a knot in the cable too to add some strain relief so you don't accidentally pull out the wires.
I have no idea how the cable is wired internally or if they're all wired the same (so that everyone can use the same color code), so the safest thing to do is use a multimeter to confirm for yourself per the USB spec:

J80 cable assembly line sequence as shown below,
Precautions:
1: Need to cut off the cable interface of the supplied cable (refer to Figure 1)
2: In order to prevent the line from getting stuck in the outer casing, the inside needs to be treated a little bit - the thickness of the outer surface is cut off. (Refer to Figure 2)
3: You can tie a cable tie at the position marked in green in Figure 3 to catch the bottom hole and prevent the wire.
4: If you use a wire socket, you need to polish the socket 0.5mm, the socket model is: eh2.54, 4P
If you use the indicator light of the lamp module, you need to remove the black horizontal resistor at NL.CL and change it to vertical soldering. Refer to Figure 3 for the red circle.

It sounds like you're used to dealing with QMK/TMK.
You don't need do any of that with bootmapper client.
There is a windows app which communicates with the PCB over USB to modify the keymap, RGB settings, macros, etc.
You can get it here:
http://blog.winkeyless.kr/155
And here are some instructions:
https://meckeyalpha.com/pages/guide-on-bootmapper-client
The app is used to flash new firmware onto the controller and configure all the settings when you're done.
The settings are stored in a different part of controller to the firmware so you don't need to re-flash the firmware whenever you want to change something.
If you just want to configure the keymap, macros or LED settings you don't need to re-flash the firmware.
For some reason I don't remember the bootmapper client being so easy to use. I think the old Spr1t pcbs used a version, but I could have sworn there was a usb/button press. Or I'm confusing it with jigon or whatever client duck's pcb's use.
Any one able to figure out how to solder the cable to the PCB yet? I should be receiving my kit tomorrow and would love some guidance regarding the soldering of the cable.
I have some new information regarding the cable assemble :thumb: I hope this will help you guys.QuoteJ80 cable assembly line sequence as shown below,
Precautions:

Yep seent it just hope the wiring looks the same when cutting open my cable. Not sure if it will so then their might be complications. If the cable is soldered incorrectly would that short the board making it kaput?Any one able to figure out how to solder the cable to the PCB yet? Congrats on the build hope to build mine tomorrow. Also thanks for the tips i'm sure i will also get some frustration from building but we don't learn if we don't try. I put mine together this evening. I'll post some pics when I have more light.
Some notes:
Make sure the switches are properly mounted in the PCB before soldering. There isn't any plate to hold them in place while doing the deed so it's worth paying attention to. I messed up on a couple and had to reflow the solder joints to get them seated.
The LED cover thing. None of the screws seemed to fit.
Even with the cable is thinned like the pics above you're still going to end up clamping it between the two halves. The zip tie in the position shown will fit just inside the case and provide strain relief. If you want to zip tie it to the PCB too go wild, but I do recommend the zip tie on the cable as shown above.
The wiring as shown in the pics also worked fine with no issue. Soldering those thin wires to the PCB was a tedious though and I had to try a couple of times to get it right. It's really easy to overheat such thin wires.
All told it was kinda frustrating to build, but it makes for a really nice typing experience. I can definitely feel the PCB flexing a little as I type (67g Zilents). I could see this being by daily driver for the next while.
everyone building theirs, and here I am still waiting for switches...and stabs...and keycaps :/ In the mean time though, here's a picture of my unbuilt one that I took in my office, just to see how it would look against the white tables. So happy the white turned out looking real good. Excited to receive mine today.

Kinda wish I had gotten in on one of these. How's the plateless typing feel like?
Just built mine in a classic, vintage look:Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/5qs4YuI.jpg)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/aFybiyM.jpg)
Very delicious thock, nice and full. I absolutely love that. Thanks for sharing the typing test. Now it makes me wish I had one all the more. :-*Kinda wish I had gotten in on one of these. How's the plateless typing feel like?
Typing wise it's nothing crazy - it's a bit bouncier and softer than other keyboards, but it is still not too far from other top-mounted keyboards because there's numerous, stiff mounting points close to the PCB and the PCB does not have relief cuts to let it bounce further.
However, I would say that the cooler aspect of the keyboard is how it sounds -- it has a much thockier sound than many other keyboards I've tried. Here's (https://clyp.it/rn0cwd00?token=c75572834f5dc7e89f7bd10949209547) a typing test to demonstrate it.
Its probably one of the resistors in the row.

Ohh. How do I know which one is busted though?
Edit: Wait do you mean diode?

Doh!
Yeah, a diode.
Could one have fallen off?
Any of them reversed or with poor soldering?
Could be the controller, i bought a singa with a tgr PCB and a row was not working, someone suggested i check the controller and to possible reflow the solder to it. That is what i did and is resolved it but it did give me the cold sweats when i did everything.
Awesome! Glad it worked out for you. :thumb:Could be the controller, i bought a singa with a tgr PCB and a row was not working, someone suggested i check the controller and to possible reflow the solder to it. Damn it did the trick. Thanks man! Glad to be able to use this beauty finally!Show Image(https://i.redd.it/nrydoicv3e021.jpg)
Finally got around to building the JER last night. The wires were a ***** to cut and solder just so. That said, what a build. Hoping to wrangle some time to finish my jer pad next week. For now though:Show Image(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181126/75f2b0c750735d2f51348fd6a1585d14.jpg)

I know SF is closed on the weekend at least in the states, i would suggest trying tomorrow.
Not sure what else you could do, have you tried emailing him via his paypal email?I know SF is closed on the weekend at least in the states, i would suggest trying tomorrow.
I'm in Germany, but the tracking says that the shipment is shipped to London and signed for. OP is not replying to my e-mails and PMs on GH and SF express is telling me it's been signed for and ignoring me too. 750 bucks and months of waiting for this crap service. Does anyone have any idea what I can do about this? :(
