nice. Rarely see any custom TKL nowadays. Might consider picking one up :thumb:Yay. It's easy to you to get one. ;)
I like that engraving on the top right and the unique, symmetrical look on the bottom row.Yea. Thank you!
Only support standard ANSI layout

Because I can't live without my split back space. :'(
That engraving looks really sick though, definitely the best part of the board hands down. Though I do wonder, is the color of the engraving changeable or are we forced to use red?
No chance for ISO?
Does it support opening switches?
Definitely share the same opinion in regards to the bottom row being really interesting.
Won't be able to join this round but if there's ever a second round, would prefer to have the underside (brass weight?) changed since I find the engraving to be a little bit too "in your face" with the branding, IMHO.
ouch, now i'm confused lolHaha. :-\ :-\ :-\
Nice TKL! Color of the protoype is grey, isn't it?Yea, It's dark grey. I think it's the best color.
Could you give me an estimate price for shipping to aus?I have not decided the service yet. But it costs around $45-50 with tracking and takes less than 7 days to delivered.
please please pleaseeee i want it! :pYea haha. Hope we can make it successfully!
You say that this supports standard ANSI - but i still see a stepped caps lock. And that does not bode well for the "standard".Updated! Both stepped and normal Capslock is supported! ;)
Will it come with stepped caps or normal?
Orionv2+blackbird+matriXHaha. ;D :p
Because I can't live without my split back space. :'(I'm finding myself in the same position. Love the layout otherwise.
This looks really nice. Grey + Red combo always looks fantastic. Are those OG dyesubs in the picture? The keycaps set is GMK Classic Beige. Haha. OG dyesub will be better i guess. :p
For the top right badge, could we get it engraved however we want? In cursive, etc.? Or are we limited to one font style? For the name plate, you can give us the design. We will try to do it as you want. It can be customized. But I will calculate the customize price. It will be a bit higher. But not too much.
I would love cursive! Looks amazing!
I also forgot to mention, is it possible to have a detachable cable option? I like the look, but I can imagine it being a little annoying to store away with a cable attached to it.Yea I know. It depends on PCB. Anw, you will get a nice USB cable for free. Haha.
This or TX-84? Actually I'm a bit confuse... :-[ :-[Haha. :-\ :p
I'd so get one if I didn't have a TX87 already. Please keep us updated on your future designs (and keep green as a color option <3 )Yea. I will update the design soon. Green will be available!
damn son, this looks really awesome! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:Thanks, bro!
I'm actually not that big a fan of the bottom row layout, but otherwise it looks awesome :thumb:Yea haha. Thank you!
I'm going to paste some of my feedback from the IC form here:
The top of the board looks especially nice! I have three pieces of feedback.
1) The cutouts on the bottom that allow for the side lighting is a bit aggressive-looking. I think it would be nicer if it were smoothed out a bit. (This is totally subjective. This reminds me of some of the angles from the TANK, which I wasn't a fan of.)
2) The weight has too much text on it. I think it would look much better if the designers names were removed and it was just the logo and E8-V1.
3) If the designers names cannot be removed, there needs to either be more space added between "Designed by E-Team" and the names or more space between E8-V1 and "Designed by E-Team". Right now it looks like they're just misaligned.
Thanks!
Form filled out :thumb:Thanks! :thumb:
Pretty excited for this keyboard! Some aspects aren't my favorite, but for the price and the unique features it does have it is a no brainer to buy!
That looks great. I'm definitely interested. Thanks!
In for updates:thumb:
This is an awesome board, the only thing really holding me back is a non detachable cable.I can feel you. But this time, we don't have another choice. Anw, you will receive a nice cable for free. :thumb:
Board looks really nice. That shifted spacebar would drive me nuts for gaming though. I rest my thumb on the edge below the X and C key. It's shifted over just enough where I can't do that :/Yea! I will update another design of top soon!
Looks good, but I agree that the weight design would look better with only the logo and the E8-V1, just my opinion.Yes! We will change it and update soon! :thumb:
Looking forward to more updates!
Just for the record I like the bottom row like it is now vs without window keys.

Totally agree with you. It's very unique and is why I'm in tested in this GB. But honestly, I'd reprogram the right gui key to app (right click) since I use it way too frequently.

looks great. surprisingly pleased with this bottom row
It's nice, but is very derivative. I.e. it makes me think immediately of Duck Orion, and then newer boards like Mech27-TKL: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=81351.0

YES! I totally agree with you guys. I love this layout. :thumb:
But anw, we should have more options for people. ;)

With the LED light hole style, i can see that, what intrigues me the most with this (and to an extent, the matrix series boards) is the unique bottom row. I am not a fan of anything that isnt winkeyless... but i also really like the way this stands out. if i can save up enough, then maybe. depends if this is super exclusive like the matrix is. not really interested in fighting for a 1/10 slot or anything of the sort tbh
Any chance of making a traditional WKL top with 7x spacebar? If not id have to pass.

But that bottom row is what makes this! There are so many standard WKL options out there and there's always another one right around the corner

True but it wouldnt be too difficult to offer a WKL option as well. I havent seen any good WKL board offerings other than OTD, Matrix, or Camp. And i only use PBT OG Cherry so WKL is an important feature for me.

QUICK UPDATE: detachable cable and WKL layout will be supported (1.5u modifiers and 7u spacebar)
Definitely don't mind if its just an option. Just wanted to make sure you didn't remove the original haha
YES. We will have 2 different options on layout. Original one and WKL layouts. We are trying to change the design of PCB now.QUICK UPDATE: detachable cable and WKL layout will be supported (1.5u modifiers and 7u spacebar)
Well there still be the option for the 1.25u option?
Yea. We will have more products! :thumb:Any chance of making a traditional WKL top with 7x spacebar? If not id have to pass.

if this GB success( i believe it will ;) ) what i really want from Exclusive next project is a tenkaypad(numpad) for this board to make it moar complete

More option? Does that mean we will also have a Winkeyless top option? ;)
Very interested to see what the blue case actually looks like. The sample colors look to include more than one blue.I will update the color sample soon! I will ask the factory to send me the pictures.
This is stunning. I will join this GB when its ready.
I asked in my form that we have the option to buy multiple bolt-on logo blocks with different anodizing. For example, if i want a blue one for Hydro GMK, a Purple for Hyperfuse, and Orange for Carbon... It would be cool to just buy a few (or a rainbow pack?) to have on hand.
siiigh with all the TKLs about to drop, I believe this to be one I cannot miss
Price+differentiating design choices makes this very appealing~
I'm happy to hear you were able to achieve a detachable usb on pcb!
I'd love to see more samples of the colors :thumb:
Do we know how reprogramming the board and programming the underglow will work?

You can program the keyboard and LEDs via BootmapperClient.
UPDATE: I'm thinking of offering microarc oxidation surface treatment with white/beige color for Founders/limited edition (and with individual numbering), what do you guys think?

this is the PEO "porcelain" finish that was offered and then withdrawn from the recent matrix abel tkl. apparently, there were some problems with keeping it clean or getting it to adhere properly. do you have a manufacturer lined up that can commit to such high quality on this project?
i would love to see more keyboards with this finish entering the market this year!

Very interested to know the same. Before I commit to this option, I think we would need to see some examples.

It'd be cool if we had an option for a brass nameplate, given that we can get a brass bottom weight :)I agree, but more than that the back stand is what's holding me back from liking this keyboard. It looks like a hoof.
Also, just me being a bit picky, but if the design isn't fully finalized, I feel like making this part go all the way out to be flush with the top half of the keyboard might look a bit nicer.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/xRMengr.jpg)
I understand it is being kept in line with how the front of the cutout ends, but I feel this would make the keyboard look a bit better. Maybe even do the same with the back of the keyboard and make it flush with the top half in the back. I think doing that would make the keyboard perfect :) Anyone agree or disagree?

Ya, and if the whole base and acrylic could be made flush with the topcase it would hide the harsh bottom edge of the top casemhmmIt'd be cool if we had an option for a brass nameplate, given that we can get a brass bottom weight :)I agree, but more than that the back stand is what's holding me back from liking this keyboard. Perhaps making it flush in the back, and extending the back foot to make it bigger, and make the angle more gradual. Like thisShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/nYKDh6h.jpg)
How about this instead? (or an even slightly wider rear "foot")Looks good :thumb:

Very unique design. I love the nameplate in the top right. The detachable USB cable is a big plus too. I do hope the feet end up being made flush with the acrylic though.Would be cool of they let us customize our own plates

Pretty sure they do!
Hi everyone,
Very sorry that we just back to work from long holidays. Just want to give some update to all of you:
- The PCB can fully programable (using bootmapper client, mean that you can use it both Windows and macOS, control RGB led, macro and more)
- E8-V1 will support detachable USB
- and it will support both normal WKL (1.5x Ctrl, Alt and 7x Spacebar) and modern WKL (1.25x Ctrl, Alt and 6.25x Spacebar).
We are now finallizing plate, which still have some little problems with stab, and color. GB will open very soon

what is the difference between the two yellow colors? are those supposed to be gold?
also, what happened to the "microarc oxidation surface treatment" ?

Is that teal in the center? (blue-green)
Also, do you plan to do bright anodizing?
Form filled out. I really like this kind of design, to me it seems like a mixture of classic with a proper amount of aggressive new freshy looking. The red and grey color way in the sample picture turns out really nice, but just wondering what could be another good color mixture.

gray-silver , black-grey, grey-cyan, fak all of em is gud! :-X
My favorite color is blue. I think blue-gray would look very nice.
will this buy be limited group buy? i am hoping i dont have to fight 23894-023842 people for a 10-unit run :(
Still no ISO support?sorry no :( we can not change PCB and plate design at this time. But maybe next GB
this is open GB, buy as many as you want :))
Hey. Still wondering one thing. Has the case design been updates so that the acrylic and "back foot" are flush with the top case?
