[GB][FINISHED] Plates, PCBs and stabilisers - LeandreN Round 3
« on: Sat, 07 November 2015, 12:05:26 »
https://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=101729

Thanks for all the updates!

I have an official statement to come with. I will probably send an email too.

There will be no more Winkeyless group buys in the nearest future.

Hojin kindly told me that Winkeyless won't run another group buy. For those that don't know, Winkeyless was the source for PCBs and stabilisers in this group buy. This means that i need to source new PCBs, and that will take a while(PM me if you have any suggestions). Plates will go on, maybe even sandwhich cases, that I have been wanting to do for a while. I have a website i am working on, and I will be trying to run my group buys of that site, i will still be making a GB thread here on Geekhack.

We have had some up and downsides of this group buy, as always. Tier 2 was upgraded to Tier 3, which became a problem for some people, shipping prices went up and USPS is messing around.
Please email me if you have a problem with your order! leandre.north@gmail.com

Thanks for joining, and I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your builds.

LeandreN

Next GB: True Winkeyless and HHKB plates. February.

Check how your order is doing here.

UPDATE 01/04/15

Starting shipping sorting and stabiliser sorting for all orders.

Are we delayed?
Check the timer here.

UPDATE 01/03/15

Due to unexpected fees and shipping cost increase, please do not expect a refund for those who ordered the Tier 3 PCBs. I think this is totally fair since you are paying for a tier 3 PCB and you get a tier 3 PCB. Sorry.

Are we delayed?
Check the timer here.

UPDATE 12/14/15
Are we delayed?
Check the timer here. Your order SHOULD be shipped within this date. There is no promise, but this is the estimate if there are no delays.

The plates and PCBs are ordered. The Gateron blues is still shipping from Gateron and will take a while. Once it is at Corus, it will be shipped with 24 hour express. They are not prioriting my order which is fine, since they deal with 100.000$ orders each day.

Hey again!

Exciting news. After a interest check yesterday, i finalized the pricing, colors and availability after peoples preference. I got a tremendously large amount of response so i am super happy to announce my third group buy !

60% is still the theme. PCBs from Winkeyless and plates from JDcarpe will be available. Both of which supports a lot of layouts. I will also be offering stabiliser sets at 9$ a set. PCB mounted and enough for a TKL or smaller. For the PCBs, both RGB parts and soldering will be able at the standard Winkeyless price. Either way, the PCBs will be 100% fully presoldered, so you have one less thing to worry about. Better shipping materials IS available. I now have cardboard boxes to ship everything in.

PCBs - Winkeyless B.face - standard 60% PCB

One of the best PCBs available. RGB LEDs underglow, full programabilty via the Winkeyless bootloader, and support for a lot of layouts.

62$ - fully presoldered(diodes, resistors and controller parts) and ready to go. (still determining price)

UPDATED PRICES
More
Thank you so much for the orders. I really think that people have starting trusting my GBs, and that is fantastic. Thanks to all the orders, i can drop the price of the Tier 2 PCB to 59$. This is 3$ cheaper per PCB.

Tier 1 PCB (diodes +  controller parts) = 49$

Tier 2 PCB (diodes, controller parts and resistors) = 59$

Tier 3 PCB (diodes, controller parts, resistors and RGB underglow parts) = 78$

I have also removed the (+2$) on the steel plates. They are now just 30$, like the aluminium plates.

I hope this helps even more people joining the GB. Please invite your family, friends and colleagues to join!

PS: The expected shipping time is reduced from 2 months after invoicing to 1,5 months :)

Normal price is 75$

RGB parts: 11$

RGB parts + soldering: 19$

Plates - JDcarpe 60%, new colors

Great plate, as i say.

Supports a lot of layouts, and is almost mandatory for a custom build in my opinion. Aluminium AND steel will be available! Allows for switch top removal. Plates also change the sound and weight of your custom build.

Aluminium colors:
Purple
Orange
Red
Blue
Camo green/dark green
Grey
Silver
Black

Steel is brushed, not colored and provides a lot of sturdiness.

30$ for aluminium & 32$ for steel.

Stabilisers - PCB mounted - Enough for a 60%/TKL

Standard PCB mounted stabilisers. 6.25 standard spacebar etc.
9$

Shipping & Payment

Shipping for 1-2 full keyboards are 16$ to internationally and 7$ to Europe.

2$ + 3% fee will be added if paying with PayPal

If you pay with SEPA, a 2.19€ fee will be added.

Terms

All packages are shipped without tracking unless you have a super large order, or want to pay 50$ for shipping. Any loss of packages will be reported to me, and i will do my best to compensate, HOWEVER i can't promise anything. Usually, this works out just fine.

You are not in the GB before you have paid. When placing an order you must be able to pay for your items, if not, please report to me ASAP.

I reserve the right to deny sale to individuals, or if the GB goes beyond the expectations. As mentioned before, you don't automatically have a place in the GB by filling out the form.

ORDER FORM

Estimated shipping time: 8 weeks after orders close.

I want to join this gb but I feel like I've been waiting for my gh60 board for so long that I'd feel like a glutton for punishment to sign up for another one.

btw are standard 6.25u stab sets the only option? or would it be possible to pick up a 7u space bar stab instead?

I'm building an rs84 and wanted to grab some stabs. Couple questions:

1) Stupid question, but these are cherry stabs, correct?
2) Can we order only the stabs?
3) I'm a novice, but I plan on this sort of layout: https://i.imgur.com/xkGLD2B.jpg. I think that means I need:
backspace: 2x
enter: 2.25x
left shift: 2.25x
space: 6.25x (but preferably as many of the other sizes as I can get. In particular, 6x/5.75x/5.5x)
Is that covered by your stab set?

Thanks for any help!

Just a heads up, that layout in your pic is a 75% size layout, and this buy is for a 60% size.

You can bend yourself a wire for any stabilizer but this PCB only supports 6u, 6.25u and 7u spacebars.

Thanks for all the questions and suggestions for this GB. I am currently making the order form.

Neeeeeed stabilizers!

Stabilisers are available.

I was going to buy a sprit edition facew to go with my purpl3 LeandreN plate, but this b.face deal looks too good to pass up! RGB SMD LEDs? YES PLEASE :D

The LEDs are undeglow only, but yeah it is a pretty good deal. It is usually 75$ presoldered.

bought a Sprit pcb from round 2 leftovers, but not I am considering selling that to pick up one of these pcb's haha...

btw are standard 6.25u stab sets the only option? or would it be possible to pick up a 7u space bar stab instead?

Only 6.25u spacebar option this time. You need to find another place to pick up that 7u wire. Sorry.

What are colors options for the PCB?
Are black plates available? You didn't list it but it's shown in the picture.

I will ask once more for color options for the PCB, but i guess white is the only options. This also helps the SMD RGB LEDs to reflect better.
Black plates are available, edited the OP.

1) Cherry stabs, PCB mounted, yes.
2) Preferably not.

3)

Are SMD RGBs optional? Meaning, can we get a board without them?
I'm pretty sure we can but I need to sure.
I would be happy to see a black PCB.

SMD is something few people can do at home, So I guess it would be better if you provided the PCBs with diodes and resistors already soldered.

For a 60% board, 820ohm resistors can support all colors, according to winkeyless.

Not really, as I have no switches in stock. However, it is super simple. Get a soldering iron and one of those training kits, and you are good to go.
