TopazPie's CM storm mod
« on: Tue, 17 September 2013, 19:17:42 »
I loved seeing how all the mods turned out for the top cases.

I switched mine up a bit with ghetto reds and blacks in various locations on the board. I also painted the backplate white.

For the top case I used a thin base coat for a week and the color for the next. After that, I spent a few days on the detail work. Frisket film and painters tape were used for the details.

I wanted to make a keyboard that suited me for video games. I have the QWER keys to purple for moba games and 'manner up' painted on the back of the keyboard. Nothing ruins a game more than dat bad manner. Hope you guys like it.

I had a lot of fun.

Shoutout to photoelectric for the painting help. The paint feels soooo smooth :D

These pictures made me wonder if my case was warped. I didn't notice I was looking at the pictures.

The case wasn't fully snapped in place haha it looks just fine now. No warping.

Looks real nice. In fact this is the best paint job I've ever seen. I LOVE that arrow above the arrow keys!

Wow! I love the small details like the purple QWER keys and the grey arrow above the arrow keys. Good work!  :thumb:

Sometimes called a "Rotary Cutting Mat," or "Self-Healing Cutting Mat."  Available in almost any size, people usually buy them based on their available table size.

I just finished the stencil work for a second case. It's not the one that I am entering, but just thought I would share this one too.

Love the different shades or purple/violet. This is beautiful!

Thanks. I agree, I do like the other cover more than this one. Just thought I would throw some curves at this cover :P
