actually, the novelty set has hit the last price drop if adding the orders from a proxy of China.
i hope it would be another jump in order in last 4 or 6 hours before end

Sorry, my paypal is country disabled, otherwise I would happily buy the keys you don't need so we would both be happy, I wanted 2+ 1.5 R4's anyway :( B* paypal

I'm on the edge about the extras too, but I regretted not buying all the extras many times before, so probably not going to repeat that mistake again

Currently debating how to order the sets, It would be nice to order it directly to myself with trays, pay the customs once etc. but since you can't combine drops together, I will probably batch them in US/Shipito, without trays, so they will occupy less space, but potentially become bruised

In for the base set + novelties, still trying to decide on the Ergodox set. Since the different sets are split, I'd love to know if Massdrop will ship them separately as well. This would make a significant difference for international orders since the combined set may push the total declared value beyond certain customs exemptions.

well i decided to get this after all seeing as it will be a long while before the SA is run again and as i am themeing my whole build around carbon its just going to look silly without any other keyset on it. I think i should get by with using the warning signs from the novalties kit for the 1u modifiers even if they are the wrong profile the 2u spacebar is going to need to be a backspace but its really the best that can be done with what is available

They appear to be just the regular orders, so the China's count should be on top of that amount, and yes, it would be the largest GMK order that comes from the keyboard aficionado's market.

Ergodox modifiers 300+ and still its a succes!

Now its not only about Carbon. Imagine Penumbra, Pulse, 1976 etc. Just do it!  ;)

I'm really excited for this set too, It matches almost all my obsessions around keycaps, Bumped F/J's, 1.75u Control, 1.25u Ctrl, 1u Fn, No windows keycaps - 2x 1.25u blanks and It would cover all of them :) (Mainly because I have 2 separate Fn layers, so a 1.25u "Meta" like keycap would solve that obsession too)

I think 2x blue Bluegaloo blanks near the spacebars could add a Skidata orange/blue like vibe too, Can't wait to try some combinations (Maybe a VA68M, with Carbon Orange Esc/Enter + 2x blue blanks + blue arrows)

I regret not buying 1+ of the novelties :(

Apart from the Cherry logo, they are kind of the first gmk keycaps that I know of that has graphics, would be nice to have 2 sets at least

Ok got some news for you guys.

GMK is very happy how the drop went and as a gift for the community they add missing keys for planck (two 1u row 3 and one 2u row 4) for free to the ergodox kit. So the ergodox will get 3 additional keys without price increase.

I can kind of feel how Planck users that skipped the main sets feel, feeling that you can't gulp

I wish they would throw some 1.25 blanks in there too, for charity, my thumbs need sanded 1.25 blanks :P

Yeah its kinda late since the base set is not available anymore. However you can still mix it with other sets though. Try to get those blanks in cherry profile.

And hey you got your bars already!  :))

I didn't buy the ergodox set so only got the base and novelty kits. If there is someone preferably in the UK that got the ergodox kit that does not need the 2u spacebar then i would be interested in buying it.

I kinda considered jumping off in the last minutes but I'm really glad I stayed! Now if I actually did jump off, I don't know how I would feel now :D.

Besides GB time, there are 6-8 weeks from schedualing to puting into production after paying to GMK and it would need more time about 1-2weeks for shipment. The estimated shipping time from MD is pretty fast in comparision with last and normal GMK GBs. I even have experienced a gmk gb last for more than one year with little updates. MD will give regular and timely update on MD's GB's discussion.

In my perspective, BSPs PBT have high quality in PBTs just as GMK in ABSs. As i know, GMK just do doubleshot in ABS not in PBT in double shot or  sublimation. BSP has stopped do sublimation in PBT due to some  consideration on environmental protection. Other vendors current do sublimation . You would have a try other sublimation on PBT such as sherryton's GB now.
BSP's PBT also have disadvantages such as crooked stems and less lay-out compatibility.

Congrats T0mb3ry and everyone else on the success of this buy. So now the question that's on my mind. T0mb3ry sent his Carbon SA set to GMK to match colors, how long until we get to see a prototype of the set?  :cool:
