Maybe PM the Team Red-Line members? One or more or them would certainly have this info.

I need a micro-usb breakout board but can't find any with the measurements I want so I'm gonna have one made for myself.

I understand there's SMD receptacles and I think through-hole but which type of mounting is the most solid & secure?

What about the TRiKy? It uses Micro USB.

Pretty much like that, but as I've said I need my own custom measurements. Just wondering what kind of receptacle is best to use.

What about the TRiKy? It uses Micro USB.

By breakout board I simply meant a small PCB with a micro-usb port on it and pinouts to the 'vcc', 'd-' etc. like the link ray posted :)

What are the practical differences between white and clear stems, aside from a subdued click?

I am very interested by clears, but I do love the click.

That's about it. Bump vs click. To me, they feel equally heavy. If you want a proper force readout, check the OP for rkinze's measurements.

Right, the click is accomplished with the 2 part slider vs the clear's single stem. I just meant in terms of how the switches felt :3.

If you're asking what the spacing is between each switch, that's in the OP.

Are you asking for the size of the plate itself? Because I literally just told you the distance between the switch holes in the plate. That information (distance from the center of each hole in a plate) is in the OP.

ok so i just got a set of the geekhack.org function keys from pckeyboard.com and have a question for you guys.  On the actual switch cap with the legends on them the "F1" key doesn't seem to have the little catches on it that the other ones do so you can just pull it straight off with zero effort.  Has anyone else seen this and have any idea on how easy to deal with the parent web site it is with something of this nature??

I've only recently found out about GH, during my search for info about 60% keyboards. The HHKB keyboard has the layout that I think I'd really like, but for its price it just isn't for me :(. I missed the group buy it would seem, so my question is this: When would GH60 keyboards start showing up in the classifieds, and anyone got an idea how prices would work for that?

My guess would be around next year.  But that is just a shot in the dark there.

Question of my own.  Are all the keys on the unicomp buckling spring boards a 2 piece cap?

Pretty sure they are, yes.

Probably go for the same price as the GB. I've seen a few orders for sale already. More will come once people have them in hand. Probably sometime late this year or early 2014. In the future, don't ask about pricing here though. There's already a thread for that.

Are there any Alps keyboards that have the G80-1800 layout?

Yup

They feel mushy to me. Costar stabs don't seem to affect the feel of the switch at all, but bottoming out on a Cherry stab feels like a rubber dome.

I checked out the FAQ but didn't find and answer to my question (which is incredibly basic). I've been looking for my first mechanical keyboard and the one I liked most was the fully backlit keycool 84. Is there a place in Europe where I can buy it without importing? Brown/Blue switches. Tried eBay and Amazon to no avail.

And if not, what about Ducky Shine III? We don't have a place selling a lot of mechanical keyboard brands here. Just the more popular ones like Razer, SS and CM. So if you can show me some links to shops that ship to EU I'll be very grateful. Thanks.

Qtan is awesome. He ships from China, but it only takes like 1 week to get to the US. I don't know about EU shipping, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.

I haven't research different vendors in different locales simply because I'm lazy and that task is a bit daunting to me. If you want to do so, let me know what you find.

I'm not sure where you might get a Keycool or Ducky.

Edit: He sells his stuff cheaper on his site: http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/

I don't think the problem is the time it takes.  It's the extra cost because its an import.

Yeah I know the site but I meant if there was a place IN europe where I can buy them, because I have to pay imports and I have to go to the customs and waste a lot of time until I take my keyboard out of bond.
