quick update

things are coming on well, a few slight delays as we decided to fix (well improve) 4 keys in the set, including some work on the shifts and windows keys, its added a little time to production, but the end result is worth it

ill have some new pics for people soon

and for anyone who missed out, we will have some limited extras available

we will also have large numbers of a set in a totally different colorway, these werent put up for gb, but will be an in stock item on the ctrl alt store with no lead time

i have also added to the order 200 complete sets of topre sliders and 500 windowed keycaps in various colours to match the sets, these will be available in the store and will ship to us with this gb, i will list just before they arrive, so anyone who wants to add on to an existing order in this buy can do so without having to pay another postage cost

Thanks for taking the time to get the keys right, quality is always worth a little extra time investment. :thumb:

Looking forward to the new colorway.

Haven't really been on Geekhack for a couple of months and am just catching up on all the threads :)

Great news with the extra spacebars and the sliders Bunny :thumb:

I am also excited about the extra JT set - when will you reveal the colorway??

I was more scared of what the colorway would be if it was like Handerbeit. At least this one has more purple! If I had to choose between the two I would go for Many Unicorn because unicorns and purple. Duh.

Question about the sliders. are they the same as stock hhkb sliders or same length as the silent sliders? would be sweet if they where silent.

I'm really hoping it's not this, but rather a timeless, colorless set. Dolch or Granite would be awesome with the same GMK-style legends as Ivan's last drop:

Lots of people are probably going to say, "not Dolch *again*," but I'm with you. I only have it in DSA, and I'd love this colorway in a *proper* profile. The same goes for me with Granite, and I spent a lot of money the last time Matt3o and [CTRL]ALT teamed up (SA Retro).

They probably will, but then tons of people will buy it despite this. These colorless sets just have a broader appeal. There's always people who weren't around for it last time, waiting impatiently. So I'm hoping [CTRL]ALT will be offering an alternative to GMK favorites.

EDIT
That's my last hijack. I'm just under the impression that if I say what I want, it will magically happen.

hey guys

it is with great pleasure i can finally share with you the big surprise i mentioned for people who ordered sliders

totally free of charge with every set

you will also get a 6x cherry profile topre spacebar

so your sets will match perfectly, we will be making them in colours to match every set

here you go

Show Image

*drops the mic

ps, these are just preproduction test samples so ignore the quality and pic, they are being worked on and improved, but we have them working so im finally happy to announce it without worrying we will let people down if they didnt work

HOLY HELL, I picked the worst time to finally stand strong and put an end* to the purchases made on this site...

 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

So, uh...anyone looking to sell a set?

* or at least a great reduction

We shall see what is in the future, bunny has said he has 3 other sets lined up already, that are yet to be revealed.

But I'm still holding out for miami thrice, with thick abs and topre compatible space bars.  ;)

Fair enough. You're right, I checked. He was pretty clear about it for the next set. Hope you weren't offended by what I said about your design. I'm just not a fan of colored legends or a design with a lot of color. Two-tone base for me.

Yep, Dolch is boring, and yet I love it completely. I'm going to buy three or four sets the next time it's available in anything but DSA.

I'll also buy whatever Bunny is cooking up, because he's great.

I am not saying it's boring, just that it was run recently and doesn't need to be run again for a while. I love the set I picked up but I am sure Bunny will amaze us with the set he has coming out.

it's only boring because it's way too common. i don't see anyone calling classic Beige boring, simply because it hasn't saturated the community like Dolch did

if there were only 200 existing Dolch sets they will be the 'uber rare', 'classic' color scheme that everyone covets

I love my OG Dolch too, but it's been run to death. I'd like to see more sets be given a chance.

The last thing we need is Dolch run again.  I'm also pretty sure I remember bunny saying he wasn't going to be running it.

I agree about Dolch not needing to be run again. There are a lot of awesome colorways that could be run instead.
Yep, Dolch is boring, and yet I love it completely. I'm going to buy three or four sets the next time it's available in anything but DSA.

I'll also buy whatever Bunny is cooking up, because he's great.

Dolch is love.

Dolch is life.

I agree completely with not running it again, but I hope maybe some day... :D

I theoretically have all the keycaps I need, but I still can't help myself, probably going to devour the ctrlalt store when it launches

Skipped the JT set as there are no special keys, no blanks, so I hope those will be added in the future // at least some placeholder blanks for the time being (Like a R3 1.75 blank instead of a Control, and some bottom row blanks)

I'm really fond of Dolch too but I couldn't afford the price tag on Zeal's website.

I'm still thrilled to see what Bunny will come up with.

I probably spent ~$100's on multiple sets over a period of time, at my current mind-state, I could even pay <$1000 for a set that has it all for me, it would be cheaper and easier

After this realisation, I paid the ZealPC price for a 4-day used Dolch, unless there is keycap damage, I don't think I will regret that decision

We spend thousands on computers/peripherals, they all fade away, even keyboards/switches fade away after a longer period, but keycaps seem eternal
