The yellow case works really well with this keyset, gives off that vintage vibe. Nice photos! I think 1976 on the Ergodox is the most visually appealing.

...I might want to build one someday. I fear I will no longer want any regular keyboard though and I love my kustom and aluminum Realforce :(

Nice case and cable :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have never used one before.

How stable are those legs? They look like they are bowing a bit.

yeah they bend slightly, it's not ideal, but they do stay at that angle.

If you can touch type using a standard technique? Maybe 30 minutes.
If you can't? In the order of weeks.
If you can't and don't even try? Never.

What about reading some posts in the Ergonomics subforum? Even the sticky threads there are fairly comprehensive, although slightly outdated.

Ergodone was pretty cheap, though I think that group buy is closed. You can get "fake" ergodoxes off Taobao for a low price.

Time to give ErgoDox some love

I am trying to figure out if this looks good or not if you guys could help. Canvas XDA came in.

Interesting keys and super hard to capture the color of the keys. like it just seems impossible without getting into Adobe and calibrating

This is what it looked like before

In a strange way it looks really good on your ErgoDox . I find XDA quite ugly but in this case it looks good.

Thanks

I am just not sure if i like the "piano" style of light caps on a dark case. I think i do like the caps though themselves, though.
