Is it going to be compatible with the old plate/pcb combo? i.e., am I going to be able to use my V1's internal with the new case?
Yes, same plate mounting.

I was hoping to have that acrylic diffuser :'(

It seems most people in the community overwhelmingly prefer no diffuser. A poll may be in order.

The v2 is about cost reduction due to being made locally so no acrylic to shave off that little bit extra.

I'll possibly revisit some sort of diffuser insert in the future.

few question if you don't mind!

Will price reduction mean it will be cheaper then the 350-400 that was quoted?

Also whats the expected turn around time being local. I would assume it be faster? Also the saving on shipping perhaps?

Cost reduction to offset the higher cost of the main parts.  $350-$400 is still accurate.  Also local will mean faster, but I am having the packaging made in China, so that will be something to wait on.

Thats not to bad if it includes PP fees and Shipping. One other question will the PCB included be pre soldered? Just needing switches soldered on?
Shipping is not included, as the price varies drastically depending on where it's being sent. PCB included will be presoldered.

Curious if cerokate would be possible, or it would be possible but very expansive?

Cerakote is not possible.  There's not exactly a demand for gun customization in Ontario, so I'd have to send them off to have it done.

Cerakote is not a gun thing (though its often advertised in conjunction with other high wear firearm finishings). It's just a general purpose ceramic powder with a plasticizer which is sprayed and cured in an oven. Most paint shops/auto garages is equipped to do cerakoting (it's not at all far removed from just regular powdercoat finish). A cursory Google search turned up plenty of places in Ontario that advertises powdercoat/ceramic coating capability, there's bound to be one that is capable of and are willing to do contract work for you  :thumb:

Gotcha, then I think sticking with the anodize would also be a good idea for money saving. What would be some color which are confirmed to be available for R2 ? And is it possible to do some mix and match for the top and bottom pieces with different color?

Black/silver/navy/red are soft confirmed. There's a bit on the last page about it.

Unsure about mix/match. I'll ask 27 to check up on it.

I'm aware that there are places that do it, but none of these are local, meaning I would still have to send them off and take extra time and money.

Basically no cerakote, as it's not worth the added complexity to the process.
