My god phone focus sucks, I don't know what's going on with the edge in picture four but that doesn't exist in real life, the ano is flawless.

Thanks so much for the pictures!

Yeah, getting perfect alignment can be a bit of a chore, but unfortunately there's not much option with an isolated plate. My process for a half plate build has been to solder all switches and verify switch alignment with keycaps before assembling.  Then install but only barely tighten the case halves to center the plate correctly using switches to visually line everything up before clamping down the rest of the way.

Glad you like it mate. :)

Surprised the Zeal PCB mounting legs are loose, v1 were insanely tight in Cherry-spec PCBs. I heard Zeal tried to fix that for v2, maybe they over-compensated?

Ideally they're not loose in the PCB at all, so alignment with a partial/plateless build shouldn't be that problematic.

I don't believe Zeal over-compensated here — I don't want any misinformation to be spread. Wilba, who designed this PCB, designs PCBs for Zeal as well, and has in the past used a very slightly larger than Cherry-spec switch mounting holes in order to accommodate non-Cherry switches with legs that were slightly oversized. In my builds, it wasn't problematic (I've built two half-plate PCBs out at this point), but future PCBs will be made with standard Cherry-spec mounting holes.

My TKL has no gaps, and fits together better than my Alice.

It does, however, have a ding on the bottom piece that you can't see unless you're looking for it.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated, and really sorry to everyone who missed out. There will be 2 more opportunities to get boards: Brass Editions will sell this Sunday (make sure to check the time, because it's 5 hours earlier in the day), and the b-stock sale will come some time next week. I think that the b-stock sale will be a raffle instead of FCFS. I don't really love to be raffling off b-stock units, but I figured it might give some people who really want a board but haven't been able to win FCFS a better shot.

Time to finish packing. Boards will go out tomorrow morning, so if anyone needs a change of shipping address, please let me know tonight! <3

The finish is really interesting in the way it reacts to light.  It somehow stays more consistent in all lighting better than some other boards I have.  I think it must have to do with the reflectivity of the finish.

Here is a color comparison to my space gray M65-a.

And here it is next to the mist (silver) M60
