Hello everyone!

I'm currently working on a biohazard/chemical-waste themed keyset:






Making use of GMK's new keycap colors ( GE1, RO2, CC, 3B)



UPDATE 25/07: V2





Fairly new to the whole massdrop buyorder request process, any help appreciated-

1, i prefer to your mod, the yellow(GE1) in darker grey(CC), fabulous
2, are there no  other mods in full set or seperate mod set? i know you may just make this set as cheap as possible, however 1.75 shift , stepped caps and wkl are almost requirements for GMK set? are you sure that this is the final mockup? more lay-out ,more audience but higher price, i think you would strike a balance
3,i also like your RO2 in this , may be you could weave more RO2 keys into the full set.
4, is yellow for alpha too bright and illustrious  to make our eyes unpleasant when typing? i think the updated yellow(GE )may softer than other yellows, but it is better that we could see some real keycaps in this color to make sure that too bright yellow may not annoy our eyes.

Sort of waffled on whether or not I liked the red mods and then I realized it kind of resembled the way a stop sign looks when it is reflecting light. If that's on purpose it's some impressive use of color in design!

I'm interested, and would definitely buy.

3B is green, not grey.  I love the color, but, honestly, it would look terrible with that yellow.

It's looking like its trying to be a GMK version of Toxic, but I'm not a fan of the current iteration.

3B is only used as text color for the red caps

CC grey is used for keycap colors-

I love it & want this set! I missed out on the Toxic set, so I'm in for this. Do you have plans for different kits w/ this set, such as a 40%, 60%, erogdox, modifers, homing keys, etc?

Looking better, but maybe it is not on par with the original idea of the OP. The colors of the original are just out of my preferences.

These look a lot better to me, I prefer the more subtle look. Reminds me of how Dolch was changed into Sky Dolch.

I think this is called Yolch. Someone told me they wanted to make Lightning Dolch lol. The idea has been thrown around for awhile though!

is there any chance that we put CV yellow legend on  CR? may be two different yellows is  monotonous. or red?
looking forward to this .
However ,i like your color-way on modifiers ,expect for not so striking between legend and bottom.

I like that but I think all the legends look off, I like the idea of all the legends being yellow like how all the Sky Dolch legends are the sky blue color. Maybe offer a extra modifier kit that has the modifier key legends as yellow too?

To the OP here, you do know that using all Hazardous Colours means that you MUST be able to read all the text/numbers, whether there is little to no lighting being offered.

Make sure when you put forward a Colour-Way, that it exemplifies it's actual usage - being HAZARDOUS and Safe to use  :p .

After asking about doing a collab, Madēo continued to straight up use my design without ever msging me about this, commenting on my design or atleast crediting me for using it in any way.

Not saying I had any kind of copy rights on this design, however it feels very rude to straight up use my design without ever giving credit.
Its not really how Im used to see things beeing handeled here on geekhack.

OP apperantly had a lot less issues using someone elses design without permission then me doing something inspired by his theme.

I really hope people don't see me posting this as inapproriate from my side, but it really doesn't feel good to see ones design being used without ever being credited for it, and I didn't want this to get unnoticed.


Im going to leave this thread at this point and, on a brighter note, will continue working on my design since theres alot more I want to do to evolve my quick sketch, rather then just throwing a simple bland radioactive logo in as a novelty.

I don't see why you're losing your mind over my V2 which looks nothing like 'your design'. Afterall your sketch was heavily inspired by my first idea so it's only fair for me to also explore different variations from my initial design.

First of all, I didn't take your design and also gave credit to your design.
In addition I explained the reason behind my, very different approach.

Only similarity between the two was using the new GE1 yellow honestly.

You basically did the exact opposite and your 'V2' is exactly my mockup with gray mod legends.

I'm not loosing my mind over anything here really.
But arguing v2 looks nothing like my mockup after straight out copying it without comment is on a hole other level and hard to take very positiv.

Toxic was Pantone 389 C. Since GMK has done some custom colors they may be open to it now. MassDrop wanted me to let them run DCS Toxic back in the day but I let Bunny and ctrl alt do it because I felt more comfortable keeping it in community. However with them getting GMK Carbon over 1000 sets I think now might be a good time to let them do GMK Toxic. Not sure if Bunny was planning his own GMK Toxic (or JTK Toxic) but I would defer to whatever the community wants on who should run it. I can provide the files for the custom legends if it picks up traction.

I trust mass drop much more than CTRL ALT.  Hopefully they run the set  :thumb:

I've had a few rather unpleasant orders with massdrop so I prefer Ctrl Alt. Either way, I know OP will make a good decision nonetheless.

I really prefer the first render with all yellow alpha keys but you're right that it may be overpowering. I would love to see it offered with the first renders alpha set and the gray with yellow text alpha set so people could choose their own mix and match. It could just be a separate kit so people who wanted the all yellow could get them without everyone else having to deal with higher prices to include them.

Staying out of the whole "ownership rights" ordeal, I love the look of that. It maintains the set's hazard look whilst not being overly bright and intrusive. It's low profile while still being unique and very cool/interesting.

Willing to buy it if it becomes a reality, it's like an improved version of my bumblebee set (RIP).
