ISO? :'(

Awesome layout, terrible spacebar!

Never been a huge fan of the Ducky because of it's full keyboard size, I was quite happy when I found out that there was going to be a Ducky mini version and after seeing these images? maybe it's just me, but I'm not that impressed.
Personally, the backlit keys, the logo on the space bar and the font are all big no's for me, the missing up, down, left and right arrow keys is also a big no-no for me, but I can see why some people can live without them.

I'll keep my eye out for this

Looking at this post from deskthority i highly doubt that there will ever be an american version.

And once all of the minis are sold out it is very unlikely that there will be more of them produced.
The Ducky Mini is based off of the KBC Poker 2 so the biggest (if not only?) difference is that the Mini has an ISO-layout.

Agree, not my cup of tea, but maybe for someone into cute things.

My exact sentiments. To me it looks like a chunky and stripped down version of a Cherry Space Saver keyboard minus the arrow keys. :)) But to each their own.

I'm using one at the moment, mx blue and white led. Quite nice board.

Where did u get it?

I was talking to Ducky Nordic/Kayvee, ShakeR, and JoshMK in PMs about this. A similar post came up a few weeks ago. Kayvee told me that it was only in ISO and available to Scandinavia at the moment. But ShakeR, owner of MechanicalKeyboards.com, told me that Ducky has told him they will have ANSI versions for ShakeR to sell. JoshMK also said this. So it looks like theyre doing a pilot run and then creating an ANSI version later.

^ I guess it will be something like that. I got my one from www.jimms.fi (http://www.jimms.fi), but I'm not sure if they ship anywhere else but Finland. But www.teraset.net (http://www.teraset.net) ships to Europe.

I was curious and maybe it's starting to wear on me....
I tried getting a quote from teraset and omg was the total even more expensive then a regular Ducky Shine 3, and plus it is only in ISO. I think i'll just take my chances and hope that an ansi version will be made and some US companies will be able to sell them. But we'll see...

Getting ANSI waiting for ANSI.
-
there's nothing funny stopping you from swapping that spacebar with the shine 3 is there?
-
like poker but ISO it seems,no options high feet again
-
Oh sweet ANSI layout, how i need you now
-
I like th ISO Layout, but indeed the spacebar looks terrible. I guess it's due to the LEDs underneath it. It seems as if they didn't put much work into the LEDs and if the keys are well-lit, although with the Shine 3 they have a keyboard that is very well-lit and I thought they would just transfer it to the ducky-mini.
As I'm only getting into mechanical keyboards, I already am looking for a 60% keyboard with ISO layouts as I'm just so much used to ISO. Adding ducky-mini for my watchlist :D If they'll produce any more of it, but it seems like they won't.
-
It's a decent looking little board, but I'm not too sure what kind of audience Ducky was aiming for with the space bar. I guess some people like to cutesy design..
Seeing how fast it sold out in EU, they'll prob make a V2/ANSI version of it.

I love the build quality of the previous Ducky that I own, just never really been a fan of their styling on the TKL and Fullsized. This mini looks a lot better with a well designed case apart from that spacebar..
-
I didn't really mind the spacebar myself, but I did swap it out for the Shine2 spacebar due to the original being black and my shine 2 being white.
Dat colorscheme :D

Well it's practically a poker with leds and iso.

You do know that ducky has TKL keyboards right? = =, and if you want a compact keyboard, why would you need arrow keys, there is something wrong with your logic......

Has there been any update for the ANSI release date?
