Thumb pains
« on: Thu, 06 August 2009, 02:59:55 »
Hi!

Does anyone else has this same problem as I do?

When I'm hacking away like there is no tomorrow, I tend to curl my left thumb towards the center of the palm (inwards). I also noticed that I stress the thumb. Because of this, the thumb starts to hurt in a couple of minutes and I have to slow down and take breaks. I use my left thumb to press the spacebar and I have tried to use my right thumb instead, but doing so typing becomes for some reason very hard. I have also tried to rest my left thumb to the side of the keyboard, but that makes typing very very hard and slow. It feels like my left hand is strapped and can't operate freely. I touch type about 500 cpm or 100 wpm.

Thought I'd ask here if someone is experiencing / has experienced the same symptoms.
