if you paid through paypal, just dispute the transaction as misleading (fake goods) and force the seller to reverse the transaction. it'll be their problem to deal with then.

Yes, it was through paypal. Would I still be able to get my money back even though he said he wasn't sure it was fake or not but he thought it was real? Even if the guy refuses to give my money back would paypal go through with it for me?
Paypal would do this in the past, but they're currently in the process of being sued for this.
Many buyers will claim fraud in some form or another and Paypal would freeze the funds or immediately issue the refund without forcing the buyer to return the item.
I settled with them after this did this with a 10k custom Evo engine (Harley motor) and a 7k transmission that the guy literally stole by forcing a refund from them and disappeared without ever returning the motor/tranny.
You got took. Just be smart about it in the future.
