Well said, that man!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

One form of therapy could be paddywagon pops out of nowhere necro-ing his sale thread and selling some clacks again at affordable prices (for those who didn't get in the sale), which oddly enough often happens after some 4grabs sales ...

just a thought ... ^-^

Yes!! High five for all the frugal folks like us. How can you guys go wasting all that money? Heck, that Salute set alone cost as much as a really nice keyboard.

Me thinks perfect isn't what you think it is...

My outbox message shows 12:00:00 and my CC'd response to myself shows 12:00:01.0150. So I'm thinking those under 12:00:01 possibly got in?

I've got into a few good sales. The last 5 I've missed out on (including the EK sale). Although, there are 2 clacks I hold dear. 1st (my first click clack, a topre 3D) and 2nd (A candy corn MX my brother bought me for xmas. What can I say, he gives good gifts).

It's times like this, you gotta focus on the good.

Remember that there are probably thousands of people participating in this sale.  Say 1000 emails.

Of those, at least half would have been sent exactly on 12:00:00, so 500 emails.

Of those, there might only be 200 clacks (which is a lot, when you think about it), so it really depends how hotmail sorted the huge batch of incoming emails.

If you want to blame anyone, blame Microsoft for not sorting your email to the top of the list ;)

These numbers are pure conjecture - no-one (except CC himself) really ever knows what the numbers are.

So are sales always seemingly ninja like? I just started here last night and felt fortunate a sale was about to happen (didnt win one but after some of the stories I've read I don't think I deserve to win the clack lotto yet) How does CC normally announce sales and about roughly how often yearly do they happen? Should I just follow this site and elitekeyboards daily? lol

Yes. Some are literally spur of the moment, some are announced before hand. Get on EK's mailing list and subscribe to CC 's forums.
