Shame about the ergodox kit (despite not being interested myself).

I'm just curious though; the nomad kit features 2x 1.25u row 3 caps (which is the main reason I'm buying in to this set) - do the molds definitely exist for those?

Barred and scooped homing keys are the best ever typing reference. They feel awesome, please do not change them. By all means you can add any other options.
ePBT scooped keys hit switch housings tho. Dunno how awesome would that feel...

My ergo clears don't do that.

Damn shame about the ergo kit, that’s a deal breaker for me... otherwise it looks like an awesome set, best of luck!

Alright, so I checked with KBDFans… we can't do the R3 1.25u and 1.75u…
I'm really sorry. Communication isn't easy.

Kuro Shiro should be launching on KBDfans any day now, probably can expect similar prices between the two.

A simple VIM kit is obligated. Key and legends in base colors. Nothing fancy.

It's in homage to the AEK JP boards out there which use Katakana legends - they're super popular and a lot more expensive ($150+ for alphas) than regular AEKs for people who wanna harvest them for their custom alps builds. Considering it's an alternate kit and not imposed on the base or anything, I don't think it really is that big of a deal that goes against the ethos of the set. I can't specifically speak for Biip but I'd say it's also not a byproduct of weeb/cadet/etc legends being popular, it's just a homage to the Japanese AEK.

ePBT Kuro/Shiro just launched and their pricing is pretty flippin good... 54$ base and 42$ mods, means Extended 2048 could actually be around 100$ for the base kit!

You could obviously re-arrange the position of the keycaps. I'm not sure to get it actually 🤔

The real white.
Looks like somewhat yellowish to me. I like neutral white, not blueish and not yellowish.

Biip,

I just didn't know if they manu has ever said anything about trying to fix warped larger keys.  It's been a problem on 2 of my recent ePBT sets.  Do they know it's a problem?  Are they taking steps to fix it?

It has been discussed previously and appears to be fixed already. In any case, there are easy ways to fix this problem.

LOL what L9?
That’s the same alpha base color as GMK Beige!

I have an Alps build with AEK keycaps. They are grey white at the very least. The XDA Oblique guys used Pantone Cool Grey 2 U to match the original set more closely. Surely you guys can learn something from them?

This broke me. Hard.
By using L9, you are literally messing with a classic set.
