In for the Base set, if Mods become available in polycarbonate than i will be in for those too. The imperfection under the legends is what gives it that kewl look imo.

I've actually considered it.  But the set is not complete (missing some of the nav cluster and tenkey).

Would it work on a 60% though? I'll start the bidding at $50.  :p

In for a set. I would also be interested in the matching Orange polycarb on White ABS mods for this. To me, it would just look so much better than having the polycarb legends for the alphanums, and solid ABS legends for the mods.

Two things:

1. Shouldn't this set be called, "Nathan's set"?

2. If it is infact "Nathan's Set", I would like to propose the below addon kit for SmallFry KB, the use of the FnF logo depends on inlikeflynn's discretion I think.

The ISO short left shift already exists.  1x backslash can be paid for easily enough, and SP can't do ISO Enter legends at all right?  What else is there in an ISO kit?

Well, the Klaxon ISO Enter key had a legend. It may not have been in the perfect place, but a legend at all is better than none ;)

For ISO you need these 3 keys plus the enter key:

But keep in mind that there are different ISO versions. Above are the German legends. Other ISO boards have different legends for the alphas. To me it actually doesn't matter which legends are on the keys as long as there is anything on it.

Blank ISO keys would be a dealbreaker for me, because it just looks odd. Imagine an ANSI board with proper legends except for one key. This key will always stand out and look weird.

So please consider offering proper ISO legends on all keys  :thumb:

Thanks.

ON is the ABS Orange Code.

Which white are we using?

Also, what are we going to call this? Is it "Nathan's Set"? I think that would be pretty cool.

Maybe Hashbaz can chime in, but that "smallfry" set may require a handfull of new legends.

The 1.75 and 1.25 Shifts you should be doing already, for the tsangan and ISO kits, respectively, right? Row 2 GH (Esc) key and Backspace arrow, and Row 3 1.25 Tab and 1.75 Enter should be the only 4 new legends required, right? How much are we talking for those? I can probably raise the money for them, if needed.

I'd be much more inclined to jump in on this if caps for the SmallFry board are included. I may even chip in for legends depending on how much we are talking.

ISO keys cherry rep double shot too?

Yes, these are all doubleshot.

Hash correct me if I am wrong, but we did not create ISO specific legends.  I believe these sets will be blank.

I was thinking these had the cherry ISO legends. If I ordered an ISO kit you can remove it. :/

Why is internation shipping only 13$ instead of the 26$ as in the other gbs?

Is there any chance of no windows symbol on the 'mod key'? : (

$13 is about what it costs to to ship a small box USPS First class.

If this GB is popular enough, I might be able to sneak some extra keys in, but these prices are just cost.

Show Image

Just eyeballing this thing, looks like it has a short Tab, short left Shift, even shorter right Shift, short Enter, and short Backspace.

The right Shift looks like the standard ISO left Shift (though note that it just has the arrow without "Shift").  The Fn key exists from the tsangan kit GB I did last year.  I believe the Cherry replica "geek hack" key exists as well.

So we would need to pay for the left Shift, Tab, Backspace, and Enter keys?  i3oiler correct me if I'm wrong but 1x legends can be placed on any profile key at no extra charge right?

I would think a right 1.75x shift would also function on the left side, unless there are more stems on it or something weird. I thought some of the Cherry replica RGB sets had 1.75x shift so the legend should already be good.

there is a picture in the OP.  They are standard SP DCS profile.  We would call them "thin" compared to other keys such as "thick" PBT or SA profile.

i didn't say explicitly but i was asking a picture of the back side of the cap so i can gauge the thickness.

I'd be in for a set if the orange poly on white mods were confirmed for a later groupbuy.

+1.

Also, does this set include a stepped center stemmed caps lock?
Freebird WKL (Blacks Clear-Tops), iKBC F-104 (Blacks) and more!

there is a picture in the OP.  They are standard SP DCS profile.  We would call them "thin" compared to other keys such as "thick" PBT or SA profile.

thanks for the reply. good to know.

i didn't say explicitly but i was asking a picture of the back side of the cap so i can gauge the thickness.

See any picture of any DCS SP keycap.

edit: for example, this one which I just ran across: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=43348.msg1098439#msg1098439

Wrong link?
Or there is a keycap pic in one of the pages among the Dieting, Gym, and Training thread?
