For those of us that spend a reasonable amount of time soldering, I made a poll on massdrop for a variety of stations with a fair amount of detail about each, and in general:
http://dro.ps/v/NuTZE3CThe ones that I listed generally constitute what I consider to be minimum entries to proper quality soldering equipment based on several metrics that I tried to qualify in the comments section of the poll. It remains to be seen if massdrop would be able to bring the price down for any of them, of course, but if you think you might want one if it was available with a discount go ahead and vote!
