I'm so close to buying a 2nd set...but I've already got Hack'd and 2 sets of Hyperfuse on order. That seems a little excessive.

Excessive....which tosser thinks that?

This is GEEKHACK which is suppose to be the HOME of Keyboard and Key-cap Adulation, hence no such thing as that perverted word known as "excessive".  That word is better used upon the plebeian scum trash, residing elsewhere that are too ignorant to know what true key-cap collecting means.

ALWAYS go in hard and take no prisoners when it comes to getting what you deserve my son.  Don't rely on other losers to cap your collecting needs and wants because they are the ones with real issues, not you  8) .

Stand tall and keep acquiring every decent key-cap made either by GMK or SP, it's your destiny to collect as much of them as humanly possible  :thumb: .

I literally just upped my qty to 2 because of this post. Elrick, you truly are the hype master.

Did you have qty 1 before? Because Massdrop shows a total of 2 were added to our running total, but Recent Activity only shows your name. I wonder if that's a bug and everyone adding additional qty counts as a whole new buyer to their counter?

Yes I was at 1 and went up to 2.

It's probably not a bug, but maybe the recent activity log doesn't update in real-time or something. Or maybe Massdrop has privacy settings that someone turned on. Who knows? But I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Brilliant it all helps to break this MOQ requirement.

Another unique, and very authentic German Made key-set coming our way here.  When this one reaches the golden number for production it's you guys that need to be thanked.  Without you lot this becomes another "would-be" GMK set, and there are heaps of those over the years that could of become a reality but failed.

No body likes failure because it shows the weakness of would-be collectors and WE are not in that category, WE are the believers, the ones that WANT this to happen without question or hesitation.  Because WE have that eternal faith in joining and making sure it becomes successful without any reluctance shown or exhibited BECAUSE WE ARE THE CHOSEN GMK WORSHIPERS  :thumb: .

Amen, Brothers in Arms........

I didn't need another set.  I don't even have a keyboard these could go on right now.

Solution: start drafting a metal G80-3000 case and build another keyboard.

How many orders does EC have so far, and when is the deadline? You are using a proxy shipper, right?

Just want to say thank you very much for putting this set together, I kept an eye on the IC thread and know it was not an easy task.  What a beautiful and historic set!  I can't help myself with key sets and this one hits all my favorites... sleek, retro, clean... I like it!  Hope we get lots of people in on this.

Is there any ISO user out there who'd be willing to part with their unused 2.25u left shift? I would need it (and a couple other tweaks besides) to make this set work on FC660m (only MX keyboard I have). It'd be nice to find the extra key I need before committing to buy the set.

What is the record for number of GMK sets sold in a GB? I have a feeling that this could take the cake.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

It's not over with until GMK accepts the order and begins production. If we're super lucky, they'll actually be able to reproduce the colors. Judging by how their mockups usually look (especially with their cyan color), I think someone at GMK might be colorblind.

Please don't worry about that. The colors in the mockups have nothing to do with the actual color matching process that will be used.

I remember posting in intelli's TA 286 WTB thread a few months ago that he should just start a group buy because he probably wasn't going to find a real board here. I was half-way joking because I knew the logistics involved and the fact that so many GMK sets were coming out scared me from trying to do anything myself, so I didn't think he (or anyone else) would actually do it. Here we are a few months later, and he not only found the real board but also got the MOQ for the group buy! Pretty amazing, if you ask me. I don't think the MOQ could have been reached without the extensive effort that was put in. I knew people would love the look, but there is more to it than that. The sky is the limit now...700? 1000?

Thanks again and congrats to intelli for getting this done and turning this once obscure keyboard legend into something we can all enjoy. It is my dream keyset, and I know everyone who has placed an order will be very pleased with it.

That's a bit ironic, considering what happened to the original colour!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That's a bit ironic, considering what happened to the original colour!

It's all about the COLOUR regardless if it's been left out in your back yard for 15 years or not.

Maybe I should of said AGED to PERFECTION  ;) .

Always liked this colour-way for it's transformation into something GLORIOUS just like Penumbra's "Yellowish Shade" which symbolizes age.  Why wait for 15 years in the sunlight?
