There is not a 1.75 B row mold, believe me I would love to offer it as with the ISO enter and 1.5 mods... but they don't have those at the keycap factory. I might start a fund to collect money to have the molds produced but they are quite expensive.

I am going to do all the shipping this time due to how long it took with imsto shipping orders last time. I appreciated all the work he did for that but there were also quite a bit of complaints from buyers. I think I have more free time to do all the sorting and packing and so on, so it can probably be done quicker if I do it all.
Alphas are white, modifiers and such are beige. The fulltouch capslock will be beige like it supposed to be.
Will we also be able to order other colors in languages? For instance, US/RU in Black and Charcoal/Red?

Will you be offering B row 1.25 as blanks? I kinda prefer that over the Windows 8 logo which is terrible. IMSTO's standard Windows logo would be ideal since retro logo will probably mess up the color scheme of some sets, and there ain't any good alternatives to go with the Miami set for example as far as I can see.

Some very unofficial mock-ups for the US ANSI sets (I don't have the int'l/cyrillic/etc. legends, so I can't really do mock-ups for those sets) - the shades of red and beige used in my mock-ups are based on my best guess, and I think Ivan is planning to use the Win8 logo instead of classic windows. Also, positioning of the legends themselves may be off a bit, and I'm not sure if the "~`" and "\|" keycaps will be beige or white - other than those caveats, these *should* be pretty close:

Putting together the base templates for these mock-ups is a ton of work, btw - positioning each legend just right is a PITA.

My guess is that the [dark] gray and blue of the Diablo / Starcraft sets are identical to the IMSTO gray and blue, since those are the colors that have been in use for thick PBT caps for a while, and even Ducky is picking them up for their upcoming keycaps. Not sure what the beige is like exactly: how light or dark it will be. If it's the standard beige, probably fairly light.

lysol, I know this GB doesn't offer 1.5x mods, but some of your designs are really nice, and I imagine some of us would like the opportunity while it's available. Would you please consider adding 1x B profile mods in both white and beige? Also, the top row ones should be offered in both white and beige as well, please. Thanks!

Sadly the only place that seem to have Cherry profile PBT ISO enter is Cherry ZF, and they will not sell only keycaps, and especially not only specific keycap. They only refer to GMK who does not make PBT, and BSP who does not have ISO.
New PBT molds are $12,000 each ($7,000 figure I had before was for POM molds apparently) at the factory though 7x space may even be more possibly. BSP is also missing the same amount of keys, no ISO enter, no 1.75 shift, no 1.25 or spacebars. It seems like a cruel joke or something.
Other row or sizes novelty/specialty key will probably not happen this time, if there is enough demand may be able to convince for next time. I have asked many time about making only set of modifiers keys, but have not been able to convince.
ISO layout on ANSI are a cinch, just move one key, and either drop a key or move it as secondary legend to assign to an Alt Gr or something.
Still working on a few concepts, will try and get stuff up and order form done later in the day.

imsto made the SC2 and D3 sets. I don't really have much to do with those other than offering them for lower price in the groupbuy. I think those are already made up so there probably won't be changes made.

I'd actually prefer getting the ISO alphas with ANSI Mods because nobody will have a matching ISO-Enter key. A random Enter key will probably have a different kind of grey and not the same color for the legend. This would look stupid IMO and destroy the beauty of the set.
Maybe we can do a poll on that?

I dropped Morocco because I simply don't have the time to deal with the extremely complex Arabic legends right now. I have only seen Arabic Cherry once, a 3000SAA which went for like EUR240.what
In addition to my question about the bottom row modifier novelty keys being printed on beige PBT, I have one more: will theverge"~" and "\" keys possibly be beige? It would look a lot more coherent and symmetrical if the will be. Just like on the Ural mock up.
Ural mock up was a mistake, they don't come with beige ` or \ key they are white.Instead of asking one customer to cover the mold costs they could simply charge more for the new ones until they paid for themselves. But i guess that would be too simple :(
Some set may or may not get some unique winkey legend instead of a blank key. I was rushing to get some mock up posted so there are some with errors and some that need some legend still. I will make sure to get things done before invoice time so there is not a surprise for the buyer.
I have no idea why they won't just make the key sizes. I guess they don't believe those are in demand, considering pretty much everyone but iOne does not use 1.5 anymore. Missing ISO enter is perplexing though, as it is a standard for at least half the world I would think they would be eager to cater to that entire market as they are missing quite a large revenue possibility there.

lysol, maybe you or someone interested in ISO could run a concurrent ISO enter GB from SP? I know it would suck to have thick PBT and a thin cap, but at least its something.
Only need 20 set to make. I understand some finances are not so nice, but it is still a cheaper price than many alternative especially for harder to find languages that don't get much release. I guess the missing enter is quite putting off many buyer. It's too bad.

That photo is from Ivan, not me. I have seen your thread, but I own a set of Imsto white Thick PBT blanks, and they look pretty white to me. Maybe not quite as white as the photo, but definitely not tan.

Okay, sure, if you go to a car supply shop, you'll see a dozen different "white" touch-up paint colors. They still all appear white for all intents and purposes, unless compared against each other. Are you going for the American Psycho moment?

Thick PBT sets go for $90+ on eBay and other vendors. So a group buy will be cheaper, yes. Look on Originative.com, eBay, and IMSTO's TaoBao page. I'm pretty sure you misread; no one calls these sets "cheap". We are calling the "$8" sets cheap. These sets are a good value because their market value is close to $100.
Yeah I'm changing to or adding Miami limited. I think the low figures might be related to $8 DS sets, but it's very early.
I suspect that the younger set has jumped onto buying their very FIRST key-sets for $8, here on Geekhack - that's okay.
The ones who've selected the PBT sets are the serious customers who want the best. Besides after the newbies get sick of their ABS's they'll come flocking to future PBT Group Buys.
Everyone needs to first start small with GB's then work their way up to the bigger stuff.

That blue does not fit with the Miami. The picture that was posted does look like the Blue is different, but I can't tell if it's the flash that is making it look as such. Where are you seeing that? The list of pictures is the same, and I just checked the Order Form--all colors are still there.

See mock ups, exact same colors will be given as legend files to imsto for printing. Seems to be a pretty wysiwyg between files and the actual printed colors on the caps.

Orders are not much change actually. More orders for single caps than sets really.
For the ISO peeps, if there is say 100 that order ISO set, we could get some ISO return blanks from GMK. I doubt a 3 pack of ISO return keys would be too expensive.

I'm still trying to understand how to make published sheet show only select data without possibility to manipulate the URL to unhide it.
Go to "Data" and click on "Named and protected ranges". Then it's pretty straightforward.
There is still all month. Towards end of month I will cut sets that didn't make it and give chance for anyone ordered those cut sets to change if they wish. If still pretty much nothing is there I will extend the ordering for awhile. If there is still nothing, then I will revisit the concepts later.

There is two language options for Miami. US/Ukrainian and Spanish/Ukrainian. It's called Odessa remix for a reason vato.

Will the Irish - US Intl. - ANSI set have the extra light green characters, or are those unique to the GB ISO version (I ask because I want them)? I'm not familiar with different country legend standards.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Right now it seems like none of the ISO sets will be close to 20 and I think this is due to the missing Enter key. Apparantly people want complete sets or nothing.
I'd buy ANSI DE sets any day :)

These sets are compatible with any MX keyboard with 1.25 modifier 104/105, 87/88, 61/62 keys except spacebars on Leopold, Keycool, Plum.

Blue = starcraft, light grey = beige (I think, I will clarify with imsto), medium grey = diablo, white = same color as letter keys it's same off white color used in both all 'white' and 'white'/beige sets.

Half a month ago there was only 1 order for the Hollow set. Not sure about now, but I'd go for a different set in terms of likelihood of reaching MOQ.
The Hollow set is definitely very cool. Perhaps the numbers have changed.

No The E row 1x have the 4 color choice shown in post #491, the B row 1.25 is blue only sadly.

Yes. There was a lot of interest in the retro windows, but single 1.25 keys not available now sadly in set matching color, so I figured this is best solution... though not a cheap one for those that didn't want a full set to go with them... sorry.

I think this would make it more unique. Otherwise I am afraid it won't hit 20 orders 'cause people already have the olivetti sets from originative / the regular blue PBT sets from IMSTO. With international legends it would be something new for everyone :)

The white is a bit lighter than the cream-white of the Filco and the beige is darker.

No, the IMSTO white PBT is an off-white creamy color, not a bright white. It will appear white, but if you put it against pure white, you'll see that it's a darker off-white.

But that automatically means Paypal will be a little less lenient when paying for a couple of months. And transferring it myself only takes a day while having paypal pull it would mean I would have to wait 4-6 days, meaning I would miss the deadline.

Was the fulltouch caps lock supposed to be beige? I ended up getting a beige stepped caps lock and a white fulltouch.
Miami arrived today. I totally wasn't expecting it. Blue is a tad bit lighter than expected, but a sexy set nonetheless. I think it's by far my favorite dyesub set over my hangul one. Thank you again Ivan :thumb:

The red on white/beige are BSP dyesubs from sherryton, the 3 teal on gray keys are vintage BSP dyesubs pulled from an old TA Royal Alpha typewriter. Overall the thick PBT keys from imsto are pretty nice, and look great, although I ultimately prefer the BSP keys (their texture is a bit smoother and edges are softer).
Aww, I went for this set because it sounded like they fixed the white full touch capslock problem. Oh well I'm sure it will still be sexy as hell. Thanks Ivan for all the hardwork!

In my opinion IMSTO should take care of this and sent everybody who needs one a replacement caps lock key free of charge. I mean what we got, was not what we ordered.

I actually got a printed set + blank set, and had the blank 1.25 keycaps in place of the normal ones. Usually they are the windows key and the menu keys.

You could be right..... That might make 2 errors in this GB.
Why does it matter which mold they use? Isn't it just the color of plastic? If it's proper in white, they could have just cast it in beige/gray instead--or am I missing something?

Their 'problem' is they didn't want to make those extra keys in other color.
Odd that they make it fine in dark gray and in blue. Oh well, doesn't bother me personally, given the asymmetry with `~ and \| already. Plus stepped Caps Lock is best Caps Lock :D

I was hoping I could do that, but sadly the factory that make the keycap don't want to make it easy. They want to enforce 300 MOQ to run that key group mold in beige/grey :( so it looks like there is nothing I can do about it this time.

Even if only for blank. 300 is a lot for a full set, but for 1 key it's much less. I don't know what are the volumes for the last GB, but maybe we could make an IC/poll to see if we could get this number.
I guess the way around is to avoid them in future group buys if at all possible.
All the 2tone key have same. It's because of the keys grouping in the molds. We would have to buy 300x caps lock, homing keys, numpad 0 in beige at least and there might even be some others in there. I suppose alternate homing keys are possibly interesting, not sure what else to really do with beige numpad 0 key besides it being useful for keyboard with 2unit shift.
Right, the only other choice is BSP... and they don't even have fulltouch caps locks, 1.25 keys, or SPACEBARS! Plus they cost a lot more too. Easiest solution if they are going to be problem about 2tone is not to do 2tone and stick to single key color.

The set you linked is my daily driver. The color of the caps lock bugged me for about 3 days. Now I could care less... Hopefully you will be happy enough with the way the set feels to not care about that minor detail.

For me, I used this keyboard for small tasks required moving around.
The centre stepped cap locks is acceptable for me.

If you're in the USA and haven't gotten your order already it was most likely either shipped Monday or Today. For the most part I sent out orders by forum name alphabetically.

Miami Odessa is one that seemed very off to me, but I do really like the way it turned out. Very soft colors, and it still goes really well together.

How hard was to clean the glue after removing that HPE logo? Any scratches?Your eyes are better than your choice of name good Sir. :) I didn't even clean any glue, there was probably very little used. I don't know about the scratches, didn't really care. It's probably not perfect but as you can see on this crappy picture there's no serious damage. Can make and PM you a better pic tomorrow when I'm back to work, if I don't forget.
Got the set as well, lovely thick PBT.
2 problems though:
- Did anyone else notice that the spacebar gets stuck in cherry stabilizers? The only way I can use it on my Poker II is that I put it only halfway on the switch. I don't know if it's a problem on my side or not, but it is annoying and can prove problematic if I don't have a keypuller with me, as it is really hard to get it out.
- Ivan, do you, by any chance, have a spare blank Caps Lock? I got an extra '\' cap (also blank) instead.

I tried the same to be able to use it, but it still bugs me, and I have to carry a keypuller with my Poker II whenever I take it away. It's not really a solution, and if it's not an overall problem, then I would assume I have a faulty spacebar. But I'll have to wait for others to be able to confirm or disprove that.

Did you try lubing the stabilizers? I got a spacebar from IMSTO a long time ago, but I am pretty sure it is from the same mold. I lubed my stabilizers and it made things much smoother...

A couple of people have suggested going through with an IC for that key/mold group in the correct color, despite such a high MOQ. The idea is that some would be in for multiple, just to try to meet get there more easily. I would be in for multiple too.

Is there a picture somewhere depicting the issue?

The issue is that the images show the non-stepped caps lock key is grey, and is expected to be. However all sets shipper had white non-stepped caps lock keys.
You can see the issue on all the pics in this thread. The capslock key is white although it should be grey. It's not the end of the world, but many people including me dislike those inconsistencies.
It has to be mentioned that the stepped capslock key is grey and could be modded to fit on standard keyboards.
