Ivan, will you mark international orders as "gift" value or put a low number?
I will have to answer that to customs :)

Thank you.

I am tempted to take it, but as I already have one set of blanks coming, I'll let others have the opportunity. :)

I was reply to separus, as in there is nothing available.

Sorry guys, pics probably won't happen as I wasn't able to borrow a digital camera and am not in mood to be developing film and scanning negatives.

Miami arrived today. I totally wasn't expecting it. Blue is a tad bit lighter than expected, but a sexy set nonetheless. I think it's by far my favorite dyesub set over my hangul one. Thank you again Ivan :thumb:

I should invest in a decent camera.

Was the fulltouch caps lock supposed to be beige?  I ended up getting a beige stepped caps lock and a white fulltouch.

Seriously.. I just got mine in today, and got the white fulltouch caps lock too. I appreciate all the effort put into this because it all looks great (especially the Windows keys on the Black standard set.. spectacular). But I'm disappointed because I specifically asked twice - once by PM, and once in this thread - to verify that the fulltouch caps lock would be beige.

(For those of you who don't know, the last GB round from like a year or two ago for imsto two-tone beige sets had this same exact problem, which is why I knew to ask.)

Pic of Irish on my numpad:

The red on white/beige are BSP dyesubs from sherryton, the 3 teal on gray keys are vintage BSP dyesubs pulled from an old TA Royal Alpha typewriter.  Overall the thick PBT keys from imsto are pretty nice, and look great, although I ultimately prefer the BSP keys (their texture is a bit smoother and edges are softer).

A dark pink, closer to a magenta.

Interesting, BSP is a lot more beige on average.  The alphas are more beige than IMSTO's already off-white alphas, and the modifiers are more creamy beige too.  Glad you've posted the two next to each other!

Yeah, let's wait for Ivan to respond to that.

But I have to say, that's a real bummer for me. Destroy the beauty of the set for me :(

In my opinion IMSTO should take care of this and sent everybody who needs one a replacement caps lock key free of charge. I mean what we got, was not what we ordered.

Have you shipped my sets already? If not, please hold them until this situation is solved.

But I agree it can be a show stopper as the issue is very subjective based on an individuals preference and the look they want to achieve.

Damn I'm sure they were told about the Caps color problem ever since more than year a go and still they do the same mistake over and over. Irresponsible manufacturer management... keys look good no doubt, but repeating same mistake for more than a year?....

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I thought the caps lock was supposed to be fixed, but apparently they still need to make new mold so this problem won't happen. Evidently the fulltouch caps lock is in a mold group with the homing keys and numpad 0.

Why does it matter which mold they use?  Isn't it just the color of plastic?  If it's proper in white, they could have just cast it in beige/gray instead--or am I missing something?

I believe they have groups that get made together and in order to make the caps lock a different color they would also have to make the homing keys and numpad 0 in that color.

The keys are not individually made but made in groups.

Odd that they make it fine in dark gray and in blue.  Oh well, doesn't bother me personally, given the asymmetry with `~ and \| already.  Plus stepped Caps Lock is best Caps Lock :D

It took me a while to realize what you've meant by this, but it makes sense now: their molds have more than one key, so they're putting in all of the same color plastic in that multiple-key mold, and the fulltouch caps lock key is part of a mold that has keys of all the opposite tone. So if they did a beige fulltouch, that means you also get these weird beige versions of other keys as well (like numpad 0, etc.), so that'd increase the cost of the sets because that's more plastic coming through. Still kind of sucks..

I'm guessing that the blue/gray sets are correct because they make full single-tone sets in each of those colors and just mix and match the mods. I don't think they make beige-only toned sets (they wouldn't be purposing them as inverted beige/white two-tone sets.. though that would be interesting).

Any advice on finding a fulltouch caps lock in the same color? Would WASD's "dark grey" match?

I don't think wasd does cherry profile, do they?  So even if the cap color matches, I doubt it would be a good solution.

Oh wow, haha, in my ignorance I didn't realize what "Cherry profile" meant when ordering these.
