anyone that missed the stream may not have visualized the alignment between the weight and the back cutout. the two forms echo each other and really tie this board together. i know there are a couple of other tkl/fkl GB's about to hit but this board is really amazing. the details are fantastic and the sound is even better. hints about pricing make this really competitive, if you're still on the fence!

the best looking fkl/tkl by far, imo. totally looking forward to GB on this after one more prototype. the Eclipse team is doing a fantastic job to make sure all the tolerances are actually to spec, and the first two build streams show how beautiful the design really is.

Hi! Sorry for the late answer! I haven't paid too much thought to it yet to be honest!
I'm still not sure about the extent of people who actually will buy the case when it is ready for GB. Maybe FCFS will be enough actually, since the vendors in the different regions should be able to open it up at the appropriate local times, so that no one has to sit up at like 2am waiting for it. I suppose a raffle is the most fair system if there's too much interest for it.

I've no idea whether it's gonna be a quiet GB or a 'gone in minutes'-GB...
I'll just be happy if it goes smoothly and that the people who get it are happy with it, so that we can push on with a second round!

Currently we are ordering a hotswap prototype along with new samples of the gaskets. I'm not too happy with using PORON for the internal gaskets, so we're trying out silicone

thanks for the update! i'm patiently waiting and definitely in whenever and however this drops. design evolution and prototyping have been great and really appreciate your transparency and refusal to rush into GB status.

We will see! Probably not unlimited, but there will be several rounds if the demand is enough!

Thank you, I'm so glad to hear that you like it! in terms of pricing, since it won't be mass produced and it is designed to be a high end custom mechanical keyboard, somewhere between $400-$500 most likely. I've probably said different prices in the past, and I apologize if I disappoint some people, but I've tried to always disclaim it as an estimate, and not a guarantee.

Jae has been around this community since the start, not to mention he has designed and released some of the communities best boards. I am not sure I would label him just as a hobbyist. Also now that Brexit has happened it makes a lot of sense for all vendors to use him for the UK customers. I am not saying mykeyboard.eu is not a great site because it is, but I have also found prototypist to be very good as well.

UPDATE:
As I've stated in a few comments and post around, we have been working on the GB details, and I am happy to announce we have a date set!

Our very first group buy raffle is set to take place on 05/29/2021 - Last Saturday of May

- We will raffle a limited amount of 150 units of Eclipse, worldwide - one vendor.
- You will get to choose from Dark Grey, Lilac, Green and E-White.
- Default plate material is Polycarbonate. Optional plate materials are POM for a softer typing feel, and brass, for a heavier and more solid typing feel.
- Solder PCB only, I'm afraid, due to MOQ limitations. I know I've promised hotswap, but we will try get that through for the next round, when we know more about the demand. So sorry if this disappoints you, but we prioritize getting a solid first round through.
- A secure raffle will take place through mykeyboard's new website and raffle system. More details and info will come closer to the GB date.

There will most likely be more rounds, so don't feel bad if you don't win the raffle!!

If there's goin be a R2, why not make a waiting list based off the people who singed up for the R1 raffle and lucked out? Give then the right of first refusal?
So if 250 people sign up for R1, the 100 people who missed out would be guaranteed one in R2, if they want.
I guess it only matters if r2 is as limited.

Oh, and was their a price estimate? i could not find one after quickly looking.
