I don't see any reason why past technologies like sprite scaling can't become a mainstay of modern form. I wish there were modern developed sprite scaling games that made use of modern technology. Games like Outrunners, Galaxy Force II, and Mad Panic Coaster were so beautiful, why has this form been lost to time?

tried Pagan Online. I mostly play aRPGs and i quite like this game. It's fun but at this stage nothing more than that. Will see what it gives in the future...

I don't understand the configuration of those words. And if it doesn't have stick figures adventuring in an RPG fashion, I'm pretty sure it won't be worth my time anyway.

it's also got the name Kingdom in it, which mertx is fond of.

Just finished Katana Zero. It's a very good game with a great story, only downfall is how short it is. I'd still say it is worth the dosh to pick up. It's kinda like a Ninja Gaiden x Hotline Miami.

and it is really not that hard, all the people complaining about the difficulty are likely retarded or game journalists, in which case they are already retarded. I beat the initial game in about 6-7 hours. Again, it is a short game, but the flame that burns twice as hot looks really ****ing cool and is a ton of fun to play with. Isn't that how it goes?

oh, and the music is incredible too...

I picked up and finished old game that was waiting for me there - Spliner Cell Blacklist. Aswesome. Now I want more, hope tehy will make new one soon...

I now started some adventure point&click game - Blackwell Legacy.
But also starting few new once as well.
Below - should be good, looks nice and mistery.. I like that.
Phantom Doctrine - looks cool, will give it a go.

Been gettin' into Grim Dawn lately. It's great mindless fun, just killing swarms and amassing tons of loot which hits specific pleasure centers in my brain. Been in my library for years and just started to play it now.

Some games are designed around how to stimulate those pleasure centers that hook their users. Why, just yesterday my gf said she's addicted to Word Blitz because of the tactile and aural feedback it provides. And I must concur, it is extremely satisfying.

Also started Black Mirror - new version of that adventure game.
I thought its gonna be awesome, but controls and whole character controling is driving me crazy, do not like it.
Atmosphere however, is nice...

If you play with M+KB what is your tilt ratio? I have my KB at about 40-45 degrees.

I've been playing Mordhau lately. Absolutely love it.

I'm pretty crap, but sometimes do alright. Usually play with two of my friends who are Chiv vets so they are great to learn from. I'm a sucker for cosmetics too so getting to dress up my characters in cool outfits is 10/10.

I also started other game - Project Warlock - this is a funny Polish pixel-art FPP shooter. It has great atmosphere, sucked me in for few hours already, nice and fun. Reminds me of old school shooters, like Rise of The Triad, Blood or Heretic.

I am über crap at that game. I play with friends only, because I don't mind embarrassing myself in front of them.

Can't remember the movie, but it was about a couple where the guy got the girl into drugs. The guy went to prison, got clean, then lead a regular life, while the girl would peer in around a dark corner.

Her internal struggle is of course, while she is happy for her former partner rising above street life, she is saddened and resentful over having been abandoned.

At the end of the movie, she dies, and it cuts to the guy celebrating his child's first birthday w/ the new wife.

Checked out Dauntless over the past week; enjoying it. Have some critiques however, it's pretty fun to play for what it is. Quite a bit more arcadey and less immersive than MH world, but because of that I can play a couple hunts and do something else without needing to worry too much about having all the appropriate items etc. It's free, worth a shot if you like hunting/action with lite rpg elements.

I finally got around to playing Legend of Grimrock 2. It's a tile-based western RPG puzzle adventure dungeon crawl, modeled after old school RPGs of the '80s. Highly recommend.

I think it was because right before that I played each generation back to back. Did Yellow, then FireRed, then Emerald (my favorite after HeartGold), then Platinum, then HeartGold (best in the series). Grinding with weak Pokemon every time I booted was a chore. But, it's been a few years so maybe I'll get back at it. I already own Black 2 and X, so I imagine I'll do the same thing as before and get burned out a second time.

Yup, that's why I cannot understand how Pokemon lasted so long as a franchise. it's the exact same **** over and over and over. The peak was Ruby and Sapphire imo, it was all downhill/or should I say the same hill from that point on. That was the last one that really felt like a true sequel and upgrade to the series.
