Its here, the Group Buy for the LED Color Changer Covers from: TaoBao

Pacifist was unable to go to China, and thus he asked me to run the Group Buy, and here I am!

After seeing the Interest Check numbers and talking to the manufactures, we are plenty over the MOQ the manufactures require, thus putting the price at:

One cover will be 5 cents each, 100 will be 5 dollars, 104 will be $5.20, etc.

The colors are:
Blue
Red
Yellow
Orange
Purple
Light Green
Dark Green

There were talks of other colors, but those will not be in the Group Buy.

Shipping will be $3 CONUS, $8 everywhere else. Large orders will cost more, if you do have a large order, I will send an invoice with the updated price for shipping when its time to ship.

A 3.9% Paypal fee will be applied to the total.

If you want to pay the Paypal fees, which is 3.9%, just fill out the form, and wait for an invoice.

This GB is around 3 RMB (Chinese dollars) for 10 pieces, and in taobao, it's 4.5 RMB.

But fyi, the cover could reduce the brightness and only works well with WHITE LED.
So if you have a QF TK, or trigger(whose LEDs could burn your eyes), or you find some godlike LEDs, those covers work pretty well!

Yes, we got them to lower their prices significantly due to a variety of reasons. Group buy, not buying through taobao, etc.

In the Interest Check thread, we have already determined that only white LEDs work with this.
It works extremely well with duckys, just look at the picture in the Interest Form.

The timeline is long because I am going to China in the Summer of next year, and I believe its better to start early and end late then start late and end early.

I only have a cherry profile key (novelty caps), no dsa keys. There are no clearance issues for me.

What do you mean by cherry profile novelty cap? A keycap by Signature Plastic in DCS profile (close to cherry profile) or a real thick doubleshot cherry key?

If those covers are indeed compatible with all types of keycaps I'll probably take a full set of each color

I ordered some of these from Taobao and they arrived today. I have a ducky shine 3 tkl with white leds (of course). The leds on the ducky are certainly bright enough for these covers. It does dim the brightness, but they were too bright to begin with, in my opinion.

No clearance issues. Only downside- had to file down one of the covers for the spacebar. Wasn't a big deal though, took all of 5 minutes, maybe.

When I ordered these, some of the colors were sold out, so I'm definitely ordering more here! Thanks for the awesome GB.

I like this! Do they distribute light better? What I mean is say for example you put a blue one on a blue LED, would it shine through a cap more evenly? So something like this doesn't look so bright in one spot?

yeah i'd be great to have a guide on color mixing. i have a green LED and would like to know how does it look like under Red/Orange and Purple. If anyone could do it it'll be much appreciated

You guys can send the link to Qtan and he'll proxy them to you. I believe $8 is the shipping cost + whatever the fees of his service is and the cost of your items.

Make sure you're both on the same page of how many individual LED covers you're getting. I ordered from him and he sent me multiple wrong items / missing items.
It was both our faults for not double checking the cost and making sure every item was the correct ones you want.

Just specify in the notes that the address is changing and when its time to ship, I will ask you for the updated address, otherwise I will ship to whatever address you put down.

You can go find a proxy. But the costs are not only higher due to proxies, but you don't get group buy prices.
