[IC] KAM Wraith (GB the jan. 27th!)

EDIT: Never mind, my brain glitched. I can’t use the ergo kit anyway.

Can you consider including the missing ~ [ and ] keys from the ergo set? It sucks to have to spend $30 extra for the base kit just to get the complete set of alphas.

Wait are the 2u blanks in the ergo kit not convex? I'd prefer them convex! In fact I think all the 2u keys in that kit could use being convex, or would anyone mind convex thumb keys?

My bad, these 2 2U blanks will be convex :thumb:

Hmmm, trying to figure this out. So is the alpha set alone enough for an ortho 60/65?

That kind of depends on what an ortho 65 is supposed to be I would say?

I think OP is right. I think everything is pretty much there. I'm actually now considering an ortho75. Which should be doable with the alpha and calc.

You could even cover an XD75 layout with the base kit :)

Really if you go base over ergo, at least from a boardwalk user perspective, the only thing you miss out on are the vertical 1.5u keys. Sone people use them though and some do all 1us in the middle column. I’m kinda torn. But this might be might be my last GB so might as well buy them all.

Pricing is good. But it will be still heavy hit on my wallet when I order everything "I need" :-)

I'm guessing it didn't fit the aesthetic for the set? But yeah I miss the red nav keys

I know what you mean! I'm really glad there's no novelties kit - I'm already getting the spacebars for the rainbow. But tbh this whole set is full of novelty legends :-)

I understand red is a likeable accent colour, but honestly, this set has such a strong theme that it really doesn't fit in.

Yeah, I’m kinda glad the red accents got dropped. They looked great and I’d feel compelled to pick them up and then they’d sit a in a box unused because they didn’t really fit the set and would only detract from the cohesive theme and aesthetic.

This.
These red accents were a pure invention and didn’t fit the esthetic of Sinclair boards.

I really love the way you try to keep true to the original aesthetics. There are many thinkable drops and branches of this design, but it would lose the vibe. Which is I think the biggest appeal for the majority of buyers.
